CHURCH FAMILY At this time we have no one in the hospital. Continue to pray for those in our nursing homes, and those recovering

at home from recent surgery or ailments. DIRECTORY UPDATES: Please submit address and phone number changes to the office by Sunday, November 7 by email or online at: http://sullyfrc.org/resources/church-directory-update/ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The STARS Afterschool program is in need of substitutes that can be called upon in case a leader or helper are sick or can’t make it for the week. If you have a flexible schedule and would be able to help in this area that would be greatly appreciated! Please contact Julie Van Manen at [email protected].

Children in Worship is seeking a Leader starting in January. The Leader welcomes the kids, leads memory work and activities. This position is shared with three others so you would be responsible for approximately 12-15 Sunday’s throughout the year.

POINSETTIAS - Poinsettia plants are again being used to decorate our sanctuary for the Christmas season. If you would like to give a poinsettia in memory of a loved one or would just like to share a plant for the holidays, please fill out an order form located in the church office & online at www.sullyfrc.org. The cost is $8. The deadline for ordering

is Sunday, NOVEMBER 28 and Karna Ver Ploeg will pick the poinsettias up. Any time after Christmas you may pick up the poinsettia to enjoy at home or share with a friend. Any questions call Karna Ver Ploeg at 641-891-9560 or contact the church office!

Operation Christmas Child: There is a basket set out in the Gathering Place for items purchased that our youth will be packing in shoeboxes November 14. There is a list of items by the box in the Gathering Place or at samaritanspurse.org.

LOOKING AHEAD Here is your chance to help needy families in Jasper County!! The youth groups from Sully Christian Reformed Church, Sully Reformed Church and Sully Community Church are sponsoring a food drive for the Salvation Army in Newton during the next week. A grocery bag with items needed is located by the north & south entrances of the Gathering Place and also the wing entrance, so please fill it with groceries and return it back to the church by Tuesday, November 9. They will be packaging this on Wednesday, November 10 at Sully Christian School gymnasium. NOTE: This is separate from our food drive we have during our Thanksgiving Eve Service.
