From the Principal’s Desk Thank you to families who are taking raffle books home to sell for our “Monster Raffle” fundraiser. These are still

available from school providing a note is returned to request booklets. Please return any sold/unsold tickets to the office with correct money.

At school we provide a safe place for your child to park their bike or scooter during the day if they ride to school. This is an area out of bounds to students so equipment is secure.

Flexischools has been a handy addition to online ordering for the school canteen and uniform shop. Thank you to the parents who provided positive feedback as to how easy they are finding these systems. I know the canteen ladies are also enjoying this ease.

Boys and Girls Knockout Basketball Congratulations to both the Boys and Girls Knockout Basketball teams who played last week against Gilgandra. All students represented our school with pride, displayed positive sportsmanship and gained new skills. Gilgandra are a very strong side and we look forward to hearing how they progress through the Knockout competition. Thank you very much to Miss Amos who dedicated her time in coaching both of the Orana Heights teams. Her knowledge, encouragement and skills are much appreciated. Many students are awaiting the opportunity to continue basketball next year.

Knockout Netball Last Wednesday the Knockout Netball Team played in The Divisional Gala Day held in Dubbo. The girls played four games and came away with two convincing wins and two nail biting losses. The girls displayed great sportsmanship and proudly represented Orana Heights Public School.

A special mention to Nikita Marshall who was amazing in her defence and made 10+ intercepts per game. Another special mention to Asha Lake who has been selected to try out for the Western Netball Team.

Congratulations girls on a really fun day. Mrs Caton & Miss Horrell.

Boys Rugby Team The Boys Rugby Team played three games of rugby yesterday .

The boys played outstanding, stealing the ball and rucking over. They won one game and lost two games.

Congratulations and well done boys! Gaylene Barker
