that are constant,
provide

structure

our

and offer the reliability we crave in this chaotic world.
Often crafted by our distant
forebears,
they are comprised of values, perspectives, and authorities
But ours is a fluid milieu,
our day to day shifting and changing
as our expanding knowledge
and increasingly diverse
experiences
continue to transform our world.
to trust the flux that must work its way into what once we depended upon as stable and secure
May we
learn
and as we become part of its transformation,
may we build a suppleness into its very walls
that it calls forth innovation
even as it builds upon tradition.
By this we are challenged into a waiting future.
