Vigil Mass Tewantin: This weekend at the 5pm Mass Tewantin people will be given an opportunity to give feedback with regards to the 5pm Vigil Mass trial. Sheets will be at the church this weekend for people to take and return next weekend to the Church via the collection plate or to the Parish Office. Some facts to help when filling in the Survey sheet. Mass attendance from early June has increased by 40% on average. There has been an increase in the number of children at the 5pm Mass. More older Parishioners have found it easier to attend the 5pm. Visitors have commented that it is a more convenient time for them. Priests have found adjusting to the new time a challenge but are now adjusted to the new time. Management Committee Assisi House: At the last management committee meeting the group worked through the various regulations that were required to operate the Project. The committee also started work on a criteria for the interview process for those seeking to use Assisi House. This draft criteria and the progress so far will be reported to the Parish Life and Faith Committee at the August meeting. The Management committee suggested that we need to include a couple more members to assist in the current process and the future use of the House. I have asked Sue Stack a member of the St Vincent de Paul Society in the Parish and John Harrison a member of the Parish Finance Council to sit on the Committee. I thank both John and Sue for accepting this role in the Parish Community. RCIA: Congratulations to Marcia Pocock who on the 9th August celebrates her 25th Anniversary of becoming a Catholic through the RCIA programme in the Parish. Dear Parishioners and Visitors,

Parish Women’s Group Meeting: Over the last month I have invited women in the parish to express interest in forming a Parish Women’s Group. Over 20 ladies have replied in expressing interest so far. I now invite those who have expressed interest and any other ladies in the parish to attend a formation meeting on Tuesday 25th August at 11am - 12.30pm at the Tewantin Parish Hall. FAREWELL: This weekend we say farewell to Tony Miller from the Pomona

Community. Tony has been great member of the Community and has been an

community music ministry and much more. Tony will be missed greatly because of
