She decided to keep going to Granny’s house through the shortcut in the forest. As she was walking the wolf snuck quietly up behind her back, he then pounced up in front of her giving her a fright. He howled “Where are you going?” Little Red Riding Hood replied “To Granny’s…” Then suddenly out of the corner of the wolf’s eye he saw a black and white cat zoom past him. Gingerbread Man
Fantastic Fairy Tale• By Sophie Adams (Yr 7)
Goldilocks turned the corner and the skatepark came into view. Her vision was filled by yellow tape, with POLICE LINE - DO NOT CROSS written everywhere. It stuck in her mind even when she shut her
eyes.
Most members of the public coming across the scene were asking someone what had happened. Unsure if she had the confidence to talk to a stranger so casually, Goldilocks slowed down. Maybe she would be
able to figure out what had gone on by just looking around?
Does she keep on going or leave?
Relief flowed over her as she saw a very familiar family of three bears standing close to the tape. ‘Papa Bear’ said Goldilocks. ‘What has happened?’ ‘Little Miss Muffet was found here just half an hour ago. She was crying, and threatening to throw her bucket at anyone who came too close. Paramedics were called and only just managed to get her into the ambulance. They’re saying she’s in shock, so I’m thinking it was something way more terrifying than a spider that scared her. She’s never been like this before.’
Does she keep looking around or go to the hospital?
Goldilocks gave Papa Bear a nod, so he knew that she understood, then walked off. She saw Detective Inspector Big Bad Wolf talking to the one of Three Blind Mice and Little Red Riding Hood. Goldilocks didn’t think either of them were frightening enough to do this.
Does she talk to him or go home?
The next morning Goldilocks went to get her paper from the store, and was shocked when she read the front page. She knew the police would rule out Pinnochio soon enough. The spider was no where near scary enough, Little Miss Muffet had grown to be near immune to Spider’s
frights. That left only one suspect.
But, Goldilocks whispered to herself, The Gingerbread Man was her best friend! He would never do this to anyone. But who would? The Fairy
Godmother? No one in Fairy Tale Land was evil enough to something like this...
Does she go see The Gingerbread Man or not?
Hesitantly, Goldilocks knocked on the front door of the little ginger house. ‘Come in’ a familiar voice echoed from inside. She reached out and put her hand on the
gumdrop door handle. Goldilocks was scared. With closed eyes, Goldilocks twisted her wrist. The door swung open. Without opening her eyes, she stepped
into the house with her right foot.
‘Goldie!’, she heard The Gingerbread Man cry in joy. ‘Goldie, I’ve missed you so much. Where have you been? Why didn’t you call?’‘I missed you too Gingie. I’m sorry I didn’t call, I’ve been ever so
busy.’‘Well never mind that. Let’s have some tea and biscuits’.
‘Are chocolate bikkies okay with you?’ Gingie asked her as he worked.
‘Sure’. Goldilocks replied, her mind absent. ‘So, Goldie’ Gingie began, ‘How have you been?’
‘Fine’ Goldilocks lied, reaching for biscuit.Gingie tilted his head to the right, questioning Goldilock’s well-
being.
‘I need to ask you something’ she blurted out, not sure if she really wanted to, all the same.
‘Shoot’ Goldilocks didn’t know what to do. Should she ask him and risk
their friendship? Or should she leave it and risk her safety?
‘Did you do that horrible thing to Little Miss Muffet?!’ Goldilocks demanded. Gingie lowered his head and looked down at the ground.
‘You did didn’t you?!’‘I’m sorry, Goldie’
Goldilocks stormed out of the house, infuriated.
The next day, The Gingerbread Man’s arrest was all over the news. The police didn’t say how they found the truth, but Goldilocks knew he
turned himself in. It was so Gingie. She also knew, deep down, that she had done the right thing.
THE END Back To Start
Goldilocks became too frightened of what the tape was hiding and went home. Later, she found she was dying to know what had happened. She
decided to go for a walk and see if she could find anything.
While Goldilocks was on her walk, she came to crossroads. Unsure which path take she sits on the grass to think for a moment.
Does she go left or right?
On she walked, following the path in the left direction. As she turned a corner, two people and a car came into view. Goldilocks focused for a second. She recognized Fairy Tale
Land’s detective inspector, Mr Wolf. He was putting handcuffs on Little Red Riding Hood.
Goldilocks wasn’t surprised that, whatever the crime had been, Little Red Riding Hood had committed it. Goldilocks had
never trusted her.

On she walked, following the path in the right direction. As she turned a corner, two people and a car came into view. Goldilocks focused for a second. She recognized Fairy Tale Land’s detective inspector, Mr Wolf. He
was putting handcuffs on each of the spider’s six legs.
Turns out that spider, who had scared Little Miss Muffet so many times that she had become immune to his frights, wanted a bigger reaction from her. The police were refusing to comment
on what exactly spider had done to give Little Miss Muffet so much more than a startle.
THE ENDBack To Start
Ruled over by curiosity, Goldilocks went down to the hospital. She saw the ambulance parked at the ambo bay outside the hospital. Familiar with this hospital, she saunters in
confidently. She makes her way to the psych ward and sees Little Miss Muffet through the window in her room.
Does she go in to see her? Or does she look around?
Curious, Goldilocks ambled into Little Miss Muffet’s room,
a bundle of nerves. Unfortunately, and not to
Goldilock’s knowledge, Miss Muffet was not allowed visitors just yet. So Goldilocks leaves
the room looks around the hospital, searching for a clue.
Soon enough, after finding nothing, she gave up hope and
left the hospital. On her way home two speeding cars raced past her. Picking up her pace, she made her way home and immediately turned on the
news.
There had been a police chase,
involving the two cars she’d seen this morning. One had been a police car and the other had
been a stolen subaru, with The Spider driving.
eventually Spider’s car ran out of petrol and he gave himself
in.

Once the Three Blind Mice and Little Red Riding Hood were done talking to him, Goldilocks went to talk to Detective Inspector Wolf. She asked him what was going on. He told her stuff she mostly already knew from the bears, with a couple of surprise facts every now and then. But one fact
surprised her. He told her that her best friend, The Gingerbread Man, was the main suspect in the case. All the evidence was pointing to him. Acting on the spur of the moment, Goldilocks told the
detective that she had done it.
He grabbed some handcuffs and took her down to the station. There she was charged with 3 months, 2 weeks, 4 days and 16 hours imprisonment. Goldilocks
was chagrined that she was in jail, but knew that she had been a very good friend.

Goldilocks, to distraught to do much, decided to live
and let live. She practically removed herself from her community, causing self-
inflicted social rejection. The only television she watched was rubbish daytime soap operas, shying away from
the six o’clock news. Goldilocks had no idea if
The Gingerbread Man was actually guilty, and if he wasn’t then she had no
conclusion to the mystery of Little Miss Muffet.

One good turn deserves....
Once upon a time (which is a pretty good way to start a story) a warm spring morning followed Goldilocks as she
skipped down the street. With her lunch and essential supplies strapped to her back
she was off to enjoy the day.Screeching to a halt at the end of the street
she was surprised to find two new signs

Tentatively she turned towards to woods. They appeared to be peeping around the
corner at the end of the path. As she sauntered along she heard a song coming
from the other side of the hedge,“Hi, Ho, Hi Ho, it’s off to work I go.”
Lying down and looking through a low gap she spied this vertically challenged person
trotting along being chased by a song.“That looks like fun”

So off she went along the path towards the woods.
Rounding the corner she screeched to a halt.
“Wow where did that place come from” she whispered.
