The company is a participant of the passivhaus experiment as part of their pre- marketing phase and their current capacity is the production of 60, 000 square metre of decking with the expectation to launch in early 2017. “We have supplied this product to Banana Island and some private individuals for their residences, but those have been through suppliers,” says Weliue. QPPC has three shareholders, QIMC, QAPCO and an Italian partner. “We produce packaging materials (bags) for the petrochemical industry in Qatar to fill the polyethylene, the primary product that is produced by QAPCO but are currently diversifying into other products as well,” says Weliue. We have the widest range of equipment for a wide variety of products,’’ says Hunter. FUTURE DEMAND Weliue of QPPC says, “The current demand is mainly from architects and consultants who know the advantages of this technology.
