CELL_IDLE: Idle State (UE only listend to the broadcastmessage), with battery consumes 5mACELL_PCH: Connected to the network (RNC knows the UE location, consume minimum RNC resources, with battery consumes 5mA
CELL_FACH: Connected to the network (UE is communicating to the network, small data can be transmitted to to network that is 64kbps in DL and 8-16kbps in UL, , with battery consumes 100mA
CELL_DCH: Connected to the network (UE is allocated to a transport channel in DL and UL which also required bandwidth, consuming the most network resources, , with battery consumes >200mASeeing those RRC States, in order to save battery life is by set UE in PCH or FACH state.
