Grand IllusionFamed Italian builder Benetti has takeninterior design to new places with IllusionV, a yacht that offers elegant colourschemes, a layout that is perfect for bothfamily time and hosting parties, and anastonishing abundance of roses.Text Diane M. Byrne

Whites and creams may seem surprising prevailing colour choices for the interior of a yacht that charters. Yet seemingly everywhere you look onboard Illusion V, not only do the tones dominate, theirforms also command attention from your senses. There’s the white sculpted (hand-tufted) carpeting underfoot. White leather dining chairs and barstools. Ivory leather overheads. Creamy silk headboardsin the guest staterooms and master suite. Parchment (a notoriously tricky material) alternating with black walnut on the bulkheads. Then there are the delicate, even exquisite, rose details, crafted ofraised parchment along the wall of the stairway. Then there is the raised silk on pillows and headboards, and practically blooming off the base of a bar.

luxury, especially for a chartered boat.

To be clear, not every charter yacht is intended to cater to every type of charter guest. Surely, the 58-metre Illusion V will appeal to travellers accustomed to highly refined surroundings. A guest couldspend hours inspecting the hundreds (yes, hundreds) of aforementioned roses, for they truly are impressive. Other materials lending a heightened level of sophistication to Illusion V include mother ofpearl, Lalique crystal, onyx, cocowood (aka coconut timber), painted shagreen, and even lacquered goatskin, which resembles dark-stained wood, used on walls and desks. Even the beach club bar istopped with Travertine marble and covered with cocowood, and the club overall has the same level of finish as interior guest areas.

To use an analogy, if Illusion V were a person, she’d be the kind of woman men would fall over themselves trying to impress. Of course, she’d wish to impress them right back – but given her level ofpoise and appeal, she wouldn’t have to try too hard.

Illusion V was commissioned by a client who is more than familiar with life afloat. He owned a 46-metre Benetti previously, as well as a Mangusta 108 and an ISA 120 prior to that, all of which used‘Illusion’ in their names and embraced a monochromatic colour scheme like the current yacht. According to Illusion V’s captain, the owner had a new baby on the way and decided that the 46-metre wouldno longer suit the family’s needs. The 12 additional metres of length also afforded the opportunity to incorporate some sophisticated extra features that hold great allure for both the owner and charterguests.

One such feature is actually six. Half a dozen bars are aboard Illusion V. If you held any illusions (pardon the pun) that this yacht is too formal or too fussy, these cocktail corners should dismiss them.Indeed, the bars play in perfectly with the owner’s enjoyment of entertaining his friends and family. In fact, he’s said to step behind the counter and serve up some of the libations himself. Of course, barsappeal greatly to charter guests too, keeping the mood fun and the conversations going in the adjacent relaxation areas. Besides the beach club, the bar locations on Illusion V are the main aft deck, thesaloon, the aft upper deck, the upper deck lounge, and the sundeck, all of which are generous in size.

While all six bars are welcoming spots, two of them are particular eye-catchers. The bar in the saloon is well positioned, forward of the seating area and flanked by extra large, nearly floor-to-ceilingwindows. It’s adorned with Lalique crystal insets echoing the rose motif. Since the saloon itself is situated where the formal dining room traditionally would be, the bar can take centre stage. (If you’rewondering where formal meals take place, a table for 10 is just inside the aft deck doors. This makes the most of the views and the sensation of being outside when the doors are kept open.)

The bar that rivals that in the saloon is on the upper deck lounge. It’s enrobed in giant roses carved of Travertine marble, with the petals practically bursting forth from its base. The attention to detail paidby Green & Mingarelli Design, who collaborated with Benetti’s in-house team, is extraordinary.

An additional feature that the larger size and height (Illusion V rises five decks) makes possible is the cinema/TV lounge. It’s aft of the pilothouse, with a narrow hallway allowing welcome privacy. Thearea is perfect for curling up on a rainy day as it can be darkened via curtains, and for group movie nights, since the big settee means there’s plenty of room to stretch out. The same settee can become aberth and therefore make the cinema a seventh stateroom should the need arise. (Illusion V’s other guest accommodations are below decks, comprised of a full-beam VIP, three twins, and a double. Oneof the twins also has a pullman berth.) With respect to its dual nature, the cinema/TV lounge is complete with its own head. Even if it weren’t a convertible space, the arrangement would still be sensible.

The cinema, which can also be transformed into a seventh stateroom, offers privacy and comfort.

Speaking of sensible, superyachts available for charter tend to have nicely arranged crew quarters, in recognition that crew turnover can be the death of a successful program (and, of course, a happyownership experience). Illusion V treats her crew well. There are four single cabins, plus a double cabin for the engineer. All have private baths. Satin-finished, bleached and brushed oak lines thebulkheads, while carpeting lies underfoot. Yes, you read that correctly, there is carpet in the crew area. It’s related to the owner’s request for good sound attenuation throughout every deck. Benettiworked with a sound and vibration consultancy based in Denmark to keep Illusion V as quiet as possible. The yard employed additional techniques like double sealing hatches.

The rose motif extends to embroidery on the bedhead, pillows and Lalique crystalvases in the master suite.

Some of those hatches give access to a veritable flotilla of toys. Many a charter yacht offers a good assortment of waterborne playthings, but the variety this Benetti boasts is remarkable. PWCs? Ofcourse, and they can pull in to the inflatable PWC dock that attaches to the swim platform and serves as an extension of it. Then there are inflatable kayaks, a handful of towables, stand-uppaddleboards, a skurfboard (a special type of surfboard), Seabobs, an inflatable slide, an inflatable raft/large lounge, an inflatable children’s pyramid with its own slide, fishing gear, scuba equipment, andSnuba gear. If you’ve never heard of Snuba, it combines elements of snorkelling and scuba, without requiring the user to have diving experience or certification. Snuba can take place at the water’ssurface or several feet down. Arguably the coolest toys aboard Illusion V (and among most charter yachts currently available), though, are the Jetovator and the Flyboard. A Jetovator is a water-poweredflying seat. It’s somewhat similar to a water-powered jetpack but comes with a hose, attached to a PWC, to provide the propulsion. A Flyboard, meanwhile, is a flying wakeboard, with a water hose onceagain providing thrust.

Rather than have all of these diversions stowed in the beach club, Illusion V has a dedicated tender and toy garage. The garage hatch opens laterally so that the crew (13 in total) can launch and retrievethe Dariel Jet tender, Novurania tender and other items more easily.

Five decks give plenty of outdoor living space on Illusion V.

With a top speed of around 15 knots and cruise speed of 12 knots, which permits a reported 5,000-nautical-mile range, Illusion V can take her owner and guests to a variety of far-flung shores. Followingdelivery, she headed to the Caribbean for her first charter season, where she commanded a weekly base rate of US$350,000.

Since she had just arrived at press time, there was no word yet on which water toys were getting the most use, or which bars were serving up the most drinks. Whatever was giving the guests the mostpleasure, surely the hundreds of intricate roses aboard were at the centre of it. As the French novelist and poet Jean Richepin wrote in the 19th century, “One may live without bread, but not withoutroses.”

Cigarette Racing has done 4 or 5 of the AMG collaborations over the years. I reallylike the idea I just wish they would do more to make the boat look different.

Benetti continues to pump out the yachts. They did around 17 last year! A ridiculousamount. Im not sure whats in the pipeline this year but with the dollar gaining invalue I'm sure 2017 will be a big year for them as well.

Great video of a mate going all WWE on the sailfish when the fish decides to jump inthe boat. Smart thinking on his part because if that sail gets loose in the cockpit,someone is getting hurt.

FB801 M/Y VICA – 50m – hybrid technology, Jbreglass and aluminium M/Y

VICA – almost 50 metres long – the Brst Benetti yacht built with hybrid

technology: a Bbreglass hull with an aluminium superstructure. The sculptural

and Kexible qualities of aluminium lend themselves to client customisation. It is

a decidedly Mediterranean vessel featuring spacious exteriors, large decks both

to the bow and stern of the upper deck, as well as an enormous sun deck. M/Y

VICA ensures “comfortable” hull performance (practically vibration free and

silent) thanks to a special elastic connection between the engines and prop

shaft.

The exteriors have large full-height windows and also three removable panels – a

unique VICA feature. The Brst panel is astern and on the side for hauling in and

launching the tender; the second is at the swimming platform; and the third is at

the lower deck, enabling the lobby – usually a closed space – to be opened up. In

addition – unusual for a boat of this size – the retractable stair that leads down

to the water, exclusively for the boat owner’s personal use.

The interior layout includes four guest cabins on the lower deck, the boat owner

suite towards the bow on the main deck, and an additional cabin on the upper

deck. The 12-member crew shares 6 cabins on the lower deck. The interiors

(for the cabins) with rosewood detailing. The lighting design is quite evocative,featuring LEDs and an alabaster column lit from the inside using white pointdynamic brightness controls.

FB264 – “home on the water” intimate and priceless FB264 is a 63.5-metre by11-metre steel and aluminium yacht. It is 100% custom and exclusively forprivate use. The vessel is designed as an honest to goodness “home on the sea”starting with the internal layout: apart from the saloon on the main deck thereare no large common spaces but rather small, intimate ones. Only the Bnestmaterials are used – such as a Galuchat headboard. The simplicity of theintimate spaces is offset by the extreme complexity of the workmanship. Thereare many metal inlays, transparent glass drawers, and other elements thatrequired highly sophisticated woodworking skills, a complex undertaking evenfor the expert craftsman at the shipyard.

FB267 – M/Y SURPINA – 100% Italian classicism M/Y SURPINA – a 56-metre by10.8-metre yacht with an instantly striking proBle. The aesthetic impact of theexteriors is the direct result of the boat owner’s functional requirements. Unlikemost Benetti yachts of this size, the stern areas of the main and upper decks arenot open. Instead, they are glazed with large windows that hide the main deckliving area and the upper deck gym adjacent to the boat owner suite. Theinteriors are classic Italian. The layout includes seven guest cabins plus the boatowner suite. The atmosphere is warm without being heavy, with woodcontrasting with white carpet and marble, for an intimate and relaxingenvironment. Foremost among the materials is the elm root panelling withmahogany, walnut, and rosewood detailing. One of the yacht’s hallmarks is the“precious” period furniture requested by the boat owner – each piece with itsown history and a celebration of Italian craftsmanship.

Performance is assured with two MTU 12V 4000M53 1340 kW engines, for arange of 5,000 nautical miles at a fuel economy speed of 12 knots.

Benetti zbudowany w technologii hybrydowej. Kadłub w całości wykonany jest z

włókna szklanego w połączeniu z aluminiową strukturą. Praktycznie rzeźbiarska

łatwość kształtowania i elastyczność jaką gwarantuje aluminium pozwala na

bardzo dużą personalizację jednostki pod kątem klienta. Vica to zdecydowanie

jacht o przeznaczeniu śródziemnomorskim, zapewniający mnóstwo przestrzeni

zewnętrznej, na wszystkich pokładach. Specjalne elastyczne połączenia

zastosowane pomiędzy silnikami a wałem napędowym, powoduje, że kadłub nie

wchodzi w wibracje i jest praktycznie bezgłośny.

Duże okna, na całą wysokość piętra oraz trzy demontowalne panele - unikalne

rozwiązanie zaprojektowane specjalnie na potrzeby jednostki. Pierwszy z paneli

znajduje się na rufie i stanowi wrota garażu, drugi umiejscowiono koło platformy

kąpielowej, a trzeci na dolnym pokładzie, co umożliwia otwarcie lobby, które

zazwyczaj w tego typu jednostkach powstaje jako przestrzeń zamknięta.

Dodatkowo - bardzo nietypowo w przypadku jachtu tej wielkości - zaprojektowano

schody prowadzące do wody, przeznaczone do wyłącznego użytku właściciela.

Wnętrze zawiera cztery kabiny gościnne na dolnym pokładzie, apartament

właściciela jachtu na pokładzie głównym oraz dodatkową kabinę na pokładzie

górnym. 12 członków załogi ma do dyspozycji 6 kabin na dolnym pokładzie.

Wszystkie wnętrza, niewątpliwie poza foyer z imponującą, w całości kutą ze stali

klatką schodową, zostały zaprojektowane tak aby tworzyć prawdziwie domową

atmosferę.

Drewno wiśniowe używane jest hojnie w obu rodzajach wykończenia - zarówno

połysku jak i satynie i dodatkowo wzbogacane inkrustacjami z drewna różanego.

Jacht o seryjnym numerze FB264 przyznawanym przez Benetti każdej jednostce,

nie ma jeszcze nazwy, jednak roboczo nazywany jest 'domem na wodzie' i został

już zwodowany w Livorno. Po gabarytach jachtu, można sądzić że przyszły

właściciel ma dość rozbudowane potrzeby mieszkaniowe - kadłub ma 63.5 metra

długości i 11 szerokości. Ponadto, jest w 100% zaprojektowany na życzenie klienta i

przeznaczony wyłącznie do prywatnego użytku. Oba te założenia w znacznym

stopniu determinują wygląd jachtu. Oprócz pokładu i salonu nie przewidziano na

nim dużych stref wspólnych - ich miejsce zajmują za to małe, intymne przestrzenie.

Do wykończenia wnętrz użyto wyłącznie materiałów najwyższej klasy, takich jak

ekskluzywne tapety Glauchat. Prostota wnętrz jest tylko pozorna - kryje się za nią

niesamowita złożoność wykonania.

M/Y Surpina, to 56 metrowa jednostka o szerokości 10.8 metra, opisywana przez

projektantów, jako 'klasycznie włoska'. W jej przypadku forma jest wynikiem

funkcjonalności precyzyjnie określonej przez właściciela. W przeciwieństwie do

charakterystycznych dla Benetti rozwiązań, w jachtach tego rozmiaru, rufa i oba

Wnętrza są typowo włoskie i rozplanowane na 7 kabin gościnnych oraz

apartament. Postarano się zapewnić w nich luksus ale nie tracąc jednocześnie

wrażenia lekkości. Dzięki użyciu drewna, kontrastującego z bielą dywanów i

marmurów, udało się uzyskać atmosferę sprzyjającą relaksowy i intymności.

Zastosowano w tym celu panele z wiązu i mahoniu, inkrustowane drewnem

różanym. Kolejną cechą wyróżniającą jednostkę, jest zastosowanie zabytkowych

mebli, będących dziełem włoskich rzemieślników.

Prędkość ekonomiczną na poziomie 12 węzłów, przy jednoczesnym zasięgu 5 000

mil, zapewniają dwie jednostki o mocy 1340 kW - 4000M53.

Com quase 50 metros de comprimento é o primeiro iate do construtor italiano Benetti com tecnologia híbrida:

casco de fibra de vidro e superstrutura de alumínio. A flexível e escultural qualidade do alumínio permitiu uma

customização ao cliente. É uma embarcação mediterrânea que se destaca pelos espaços exteriores, amplos decks

tanto na popa quanto na proa e convés superior, assim como um grandioso sun deck. M/Y VICA garante uma

confortável performance (silenciosa e praticamente livre de vibrações) graças a uma conexão elástica especial entre

motores e eixo propulsor.

Os exteriores têm grandes janelas e três painéis removíveis – uma característica exclusiva VICA. O primeiro painel

está à popa, ao lado do local de transporte e lançamento do tender; o segundo está na plataforma de banho; e o

terceiro no deck inferior, permitindo que o lobby – geralmente uma área fechada – possa ser aberto. Além disso,

incomum para um barco desse tamanho – há uma escada retrátil, que leva até a água, para uso exclusivo do

proprietário da embarcação.

O layout interior inclui quatro cabinas de convidados no deck inferior, a suite do proprietário à proa no deck

principal, e uma cabina adicional do deck superior. Os 12 membros da tripulação dividem 6 cabinas no deck

inferior. Os interiores foram desenhados para proporcionar uma sensação de casa e bem-estar, exceto pelo o hall

de entrada com a sua impressionante escada de ferro forjado. Cerejeira é usada para acabamentos tanto

brilhantes quanto acetinados (para as cabinas) com detalhes em jacarandá. O projeto de iluminação é bastante

M/Y SURPINA – um iate de 56 metros com perfil marcante. O impacto estético dos exteriores é o resultado direto de

requisitos funcionais do proprietário do barco. Diferentemente da maioria dos iates Benetti deste tamanho, as

áreas de popa dos decks principal e superior não estão abertas. Ao invés disso, são de vidro, com janelas grandes

que protegem o living do deck principal e o ginásio do deck superior adjacente à suite do proprietário. Os interiores

são clássicos italianos. O layout inclui sete cabinas de hóspedes, mais a suite do proprietário do barco. O ambiente

é aconchegante sem ser pesado, com madeira que contrasta com tapetes brancos e mármore, para um ambiente

Organisers of the 15th Azimut-Benetti Yachtmaster have announced record attendance numbers for thethree day event hosted from the 4th to 6th February. Over 180 participated, including captains, surveyors,owner’s delegates, sponsors and the international press, including myself.

Hosted at the Spa Boutique Terme Saturnia in Tuscany, Italy, participants were involved in workshops andmeetings dealing with the numerous challenges that the management of a superyacht requires.

During the opening presentation held by Alessandro Gallifuoco, Quality and After Sales Manager Azimut|Benetti,Benetti's commercial results for this year were underlined. Out of a total existing fleet of 174 yachts, a further 44under construction will be added, including twelve over 50 metres in length and four over 90 metres.

Two important innovations at the event this year included the owner’s team perspective which consisted of fourprotagonists being chosen from the captain’s and owner’s delegates for real time interviews. Interacting with theaudience and involving all of the participants in an exchange of opinions and know-how, they told of theirinvolvement with Benetti during all the phases of a project.

In addition, a workshop was also featured this year in which guests were divided into six thematic groups, each ledby a professional moderator. The themes – chosen by the participants themselves before the event by polls takenon special social network pages – dove into important arguments for the daily management and operation of theiryachts: fiscal regulations in the Mediterranean, port state control inspections, International Maritime Organisationmega-yacht rule updates, the effects of the 2006 Consolidated Maritime Labour Convention, in addition to theanalysis of new roles such as the Yacht Manager in the era of the giga-yacht and new knowledge on how toprotect your investments by choosing the proper crew.

M/Y VICA – almost 50 metres long – the firstBenetti yacht built with hybridtechnology: a fibreglass hull with analuminium superstructure. The sculpturaland flexible qualities of aluminium lendthemselves to client customisation. It is adecidedly Mediterranean vessel featuringspacious exteriors, large decks both tothe bow and stern of the upper deck, as well asan enormous sun deck. M/Y VICA

ensures “comfortable” hull performance (practically vibration free and silent)thanks to a special elastic connection between the engines and prop shaft.The exteriors have large full-height windows and also three removable panels – aunique VICA feature. The first panel is astern and on the side for hauling in andlaunching the tender; the second is at the swimming platform; and the third is atthe lower deck, enabling the lobby – usually a closed space – to be opened up. Inaddition – unusual for a boat of this size – the retractable stair that leads down tothe water, exclusively for the boat owner’s personal use.The interior layout includes four guest cabins on the lower deck, the boat ownersuite towards the bow on the main deck, and an additional cabin on the upperdeck. Популярность модели яхты Classic Supreme 132 от итальянской верфи Benetti продолжает набирать обороты. Компания

подписала контракт на строительство уже 7-го корпуса (BS007) из этой серии. Партнёром в сделке выступила известная

британская брокерская компания Ocean Independence. Дизайн 40-метровой суперъяхты Benetti Classic Supreme 132

разработал Стефано Ригини (Stefano Righini), интерьеры лодки спроектировали Алессандро Пулина (Alessandro Pulina) из

Pulina DNA и специалисты Benetti.

«Наша верфь продолжает вести политику активного взаимодействия и сотрудничества с брокерами по всему миру. Новый

контракт – не исключение, сделка состоялась при участии компании Ocean Independence, команда которой выступила в роли

представителей будущего владельца», – прокомментировал сделку Фабио Эрметто (Fabio Ermetto), коммерческий директор

верфи Benetti.

Представитель Ocean Independence Петер Хюрцлер (Peter Hurzeler), партнёр и управляющий фирмы, отметил, что для

клиента, интересы которого представлял один из брокеров Ocean Independence – Марк Хандле (Marc Händle), особенно важно

было получить в своё распоряжение яхту большого объёма по выгодной цене: «Яхта из серии Classic Supreme 132 идеально

подошла по всем заявленным заказчиком параметрам. Размеры модели, а также профессионализм и богатый опыт, которым

обладают все специалисты компании Benetti, в сочетании с большим спектром предлагаемых опций сыграли решающую роль

в принятии решения».

Новый контракт свидетельствует о постоянном спросе на яхты верфи. Компания Benetti, на протяжении 15 лет производящая

роскошные суперъяхты длиной свыше 24 метров, за последние 6 месяцев, с сентября 2014 года, подписала 9 контрактов на

продажу своих суперъяхт. В данный момент на верфях компании строится 45 впечатляющих своим дизайном и качеством яхт.

Итальянская верфь Benetti подвела итоги первого квартала 2015 года. За три первых месяца компания успела спустить на

воду на своей верфи в Ливорно 63,5-метровую яхту на базе корпуса FB264 и 50-метровую яхту Vica на базе корпуса FB801,

еще одна новинка – 56-метровая яхта Surpina на базе корпуса FB267 – будет предана владельцу к концу марта.

Самая маленькая из трех новых лодок, 50-метровая Vica построена на базе корпуса из стекловолокна и алюминиевых

надстроек. Новинка стала первой лодкой Benetti, на которую была установлена гибридная силовая установка. Судно было

построено специально для круизов по средиземноморскому региону, так что в планировке яхты преобладают большие

открытые пространства, идеально подходящие для отдыха на свежем воздухе и наслаждения панорамными видами, особого

внимания заслуживает огромный сандек. Благодаря сниженному уровню шумов и вибрации отдых на борту яхты стал еще

более комфортным. В дизайне экстерьера акцент сделан на большие окна и уникальные съемные панели. Первая панель в

кормовой части используется для подъема и спуска тендера, вторая расположена на купальной платформе, третья находится

на нижней палубе и позволяет увеличить площадь лаунж зоны. Еще одной отличительной чертой яхты Vica является

отдельная ведущая к воде лестница для владельца, что достаточно редко встречается на лодках такого размера. Для

размещения гостей предусмотрены четыре каюты на нижней палубе и «мастер» на главной, еще одна гостевая каюта

помещена на верхней палубе. Шесть кают для двенадцати членов экипажа находятся на нижнем уровне яхты.

Следующая по размеру новинка – 56-метровая яхта Surpina на базе корпуса FB267 – является воплощением классического

итальянского стиля. Особенностью впечатляющего экстерьера яхты стали закрытые большими окнами кормовые части

главной и верхней палуб, что было сделано по желанию владельца и не является стандартом для лодок Benetti этого размера.

Силовая установка включает мощные и экономичные двигатели MTU, которые позволяют Surpina на 12 узлах проходить до

5 000 морских миль. Планировка судна представлена семью гостевыми каютами, мастер-каютой и тренажерным залом. Все

внутренние помещения оформлены в стиле итальянской классики с использованием темного дерева, светлых ковров,

мрамора и декорированы с использованием традиционной итальянской мебели и предметов интерьера.

Самая крупная из трех новых яхт – 63,5-метровая полностью кастомная суперяхта FB264 из стали и алюминия. Ширина этого

«дома на воде» составляет 11 метров. Чтобы подчеркнуть концепцию «дома», в планировке отсутствуют большие общие

зоны, а все пространства кроме салона будут представлять собой маленькие и уютные помещения, декорированные с

максимальной роскошью. По предварительной информации, яхта будет сдаваться владельцем в чартер.

по индивидуальному заказу и не будет доступна для чартера.

Третья модель — Surpina — может преодолеть до 5 тыс. морских миль на скорости 12

на главной и верхней палубах закрыты большими окнами. Планировка

Benetti 50m Vica (FB801)

50-метровая моторная яхта Vica (рабочее имя FB801) является первой гибридной яхтой из семейства Benetti.Судно построено полностью по индивидуальному клиентскому проекту для использования преимущественно вСредиземноморье.

Преимущественными особенностями яхты являются экономичность, повышенный уровень комфорта на борту ипрактически полная звукоизоляция моторного отсека и жилых помещений. На борту предусматриваетсяразмещение 10 гостей в 5 каютах, экипаж из 12 человек размещается в 6 каютах.

Максимальная скорость судна составляет 15 узлов, а дальность хода на круизной скорости 12 узлов превышает4 000 морских миль.

Benetti 56m Suprina (FB267)

Еще один новый проект итальянской верфи получил имя Suprina (рабочий номер FB267). Водоизмещающая яхтаимеет максимальную длину 56 метров, выполнена из алюминиевого сплава. Разработка судна осуществляласьпо индивидуальному заказу архитекторами из Benetti, дизайнером экстерьера выступил Mauro Izzo.

Итальянская верфь Benetti Yachts, один из лучших мировых строителей супер-яхт длиной от 24 метров,подписала контракт на строительство седьмой супер-яхты на платформе Classic Supreme 132. Партнеромвыступила компания Ocean Independence.

Коммерческий директор Benetti Фабио Эрметто говорит: «Верфь Benetti продолжает успешное сотрудничество сведущими брокерскими компаниями по всему миру. Новый контракт подписан при участии команды OceanIndependence, которая представляет владельца».

Петер Хюрцлер, управляющий партнер Ocean Independence, добавляет: «Для клиента, которого представляетнаш брокер Марк Хандле, было важно, чтобы лодка сочетала большой объем и умеренную цену. Модель ClassicSupreme 132 идеально вписывается в указанные заказчиком максимальные размеры, к тому жепрофессионализм и опыт Benetti в сочетании с широким выбором опций привели к подписанию контракта».

Верфь Benetti, ведущий производитель суперъяхт длиной от 24 м в течение последних 15 лет (9 суперъяхтпродано в период с сентября 2014 года и 45 в процессе строительства), продолжает развивать свой успех. Дизайн 40-метровой Classic Supreme 132 разработан Стефано Ригини, а интерьеры – Алессандро Пулиной изPulina DNA и специалистами Benetti. Итальянская верфь «Benetti» выпустила пресс-релиз, посвященный

своим коммерческим успехам, откуда читатели смогли узнать о до-

стижениях компании за прошедшее полугодие. В частности, с сен-

тября прошлого года, по февраль текущего отделом продаж было

реализовано 9 яхт, длиной до 65 метров.

Среди прочих лодок выделяются оригинальные модели следующих серий:

1. «Displacement» — 7 судов.

2. «Fast Displacement» — 1 судно.

3. Кастомные лодки – 1 судно.

Что касается планов верфи «Benetti» на текущий год, то они включают в себя поставку будущим хозя-

евам 19 яхт самых разных серий. Одним из самых интересных проектов, близящихся к завершению,

является судно, длиной в 50 метров.

Другие верфи компании, расположенные в итальянских городах Виареджо и Ливорно, строят 45 ло-

док. Эти суда различных серий и они находятся в разной степени готовности.

Superyacht Soy Amor is Benetti's 3rd Crystal 140’ superyacht. She was launched in 2013. The exterior conceptand design are by Stefano Righini, while the contemporary-styled interiors are designed inhouse. Soy Amor'skey features include: a backlit marble waterfall in the main foyer, a fireplace in the upper saloon, and a garagewith side door amidships that frees up space for a large beach area astern.

The name is My Paradis and it’s the new Tradition Supreme 108′, a model that adds to theBenetti Class Displacement, the range of displacement yachts in composite material thatmeasure from 93′ to 145′ from the Benetti shipyard.

peculiarly organized with a central Jacuzzi, a dining area and front facing sofa next to the externalwheelhouse. What is also particular is the skylounge on the upper deck that houses a turkishbath.

For the interiors, (My Paradis can host 12 people in the master suite and 4 in the VIP onework has been performed by Benetti’s styling office and they enhance space and light with asophisticated use of shadows and contrasting colours. This setting has been realized with theadoption of slats on the wall and different irregular sections that join the beautifulcombination between oak and darker shades of wood. The lighting led project enhances thegame of depths of the several floors on which they develop and they are also connected to the sea.This is why designers decided to lower the line of the toe rail in correspondence with the largewindows of the hall. This solution has been adopted also to allow a great view to the master suite.

Benetti Yachts debuts three new models

Benetti’s FB264 is a 209-foot highly customized aluminum yachtthat was recently launched at a yard in Livorno, Italy.

European custom superyacht builder Benetti Yachts continues to report new builds for itshigh-end products, announcing three that start at 165 feet.

The 209-foot FB264 aluminum yacht was recently launched at the builder’s yard in the Italianport city of Livorno.

Benetti said it soon will launch FB801, the 165-foot M/Y Vica, which is the first Benetti yachtbuilt with hybrid technology — a fiberglass hull with an aluminum superstructure.

Also in the water is FB267, the 185-foot M/V Surpina, which will be delivered later this month.

BENETTI SELLS THEIR SEVENTH CLASSIC SUPREME 132’ IN COLLABORATION WITH OCEAN INDEPENDENCE

The commercial success of Benetti’s Classic Supreme 132! continues. The yard is pleased to announce the sale of unit N°7 (hull BS007) – as always the leading model in the under 40mrange – thanks to their collaboration with the internationally famous brokerage house Ocean Independence.

BENETTI: NEWS FROM THE SHIPYARD Q1 -2015

- FB801 M/Y VICA (50m), ready to weigh anchor in Livorno mid-March- FB264 (63.5m), launched in Livorno- FB267 M/V SURPINA (56m), to be delivered late March 2015

FB801 M/Y VICA – 50m – hybrid technology, fibreglass and aluminium M/Y VICA – almost 50 metres long – the first Benetti yacht built with hybrid technology: a fibreglass hull withan aluminium superstructure. The sculptural and flexible qualities of aluminium lend themselves to client customisation. It is a decidedly Mediterranean vessel featuring spaciousexteriors, large decks both to the bow and stern of the upper deck, as well as an enormous sun deck. M/Y VICA ensures “comfortable” hull performance (practically vibration free andsilent) thanks to a special elastic connection between the engines and prop shaft.

The exteriors have large full-height windows and also three removable panels – a unique VICA feature. The first panel is astern and on the side for hauling in and launching the tender;the second is at the swimming platform; and the third is at the lower deck, enabling the lobby – usually a closed space – to be opened up. In addition – unusual for a boat of this size – theretractable stair that leads down to the water, exclusively for the boat owner’s personal use.

The interior layout includes four guest cabins on the lower deck, the boat owner suite towards the bow on the main deck, and an additional cabin on the upper deck. The 12-member crewshares 6 cabins on the lower deck. The interiors were designed for a home-like feel, except for the foyer with its impressive wrought iron stair. Cherry is used throughout in both glossyand satin finishes (for the cabins) with rosewood detailing. The lighting design is quite evocative, featuring LEDs and an alabaster column lit from the inside using white point dynamicbrightness controls.

FB264 – “home on the water” intimate and priceless FB264 is a 63.5-metre by 11-metre steel and aluminium yacht. It is 100% custom and exclusively for private use. The vessel isdesigned as an honest to goodness “home on the sea” starting with the internal layout: apart from the saloon on the main deck there are no large common spaces but rather small, intimateones. Only the finest materials are used – such as a Galuchat headboard. The simplicity of the intimate spaces is offset by the extreme complexity of the workmanship. There are manymetal inlays, transparent glass drawers, and other elements that required highly sophisticated woodworking skills, a complex undertaking even for the expert craftsman at the shipyard.

FB267 – M/Y SURPINA – 100% Italian classicismM/Y SURPINA – a 56-metre by 10.8-metre yacht with an instantly striking profile. The aesthetic impact of the exteriors is the direct result of the boat owner’s functional requirements.Unlike most Benetti yachts of this size, the stern areas of the main and upper decks are not open. Instead, they are glazed with large windows that hide the main deck living area and theupper deck gym adjacent tothe boat owner suite. The interiors are classic Italian. The layout includes seven guest cabins plus the boat owner suite. The atmosphere is warm without being heavy, with woodcontrasting with white carpet and marble, for an intimate and relaxing environment. Foremost among the materials is the elm root paneling with mahogany, walnut, and rosewooddetailing. One of the yacht’s hallmarks isthe “precious” period furniture requested by the boat owner – each piece with its own history and a celebration of Italian craftsmanship.

Performance is assured with two MTU 12V 4000M53 1340 kW engines, for a range of 5,000 nautical miles at a fuel economy speed of 12 knots.

Benetti has made some significant announcements lately, namely the launch of the third Crystal 140’ SOY AMOR, the launch of the seventh Delfino93 ZEHAVA and the arrival of the first hull F-125 of the Fast Displacement line. Now, Benetti has announced the launch of the third Classic Supreme132 (BS003) in collaboration with Arcon Yachts. 26 North Yachts has named Benetti on its prestigious Top 10 Motoryacht Builders List forimpeccable Italian styling and design. They’re one of the oldest and most respected motoryacht shipyards, balancing technological innovation withEuropean styling and panache.A collaboration between Benetti and Arcon Yachts, the yacht is part of the Benetti Class Range of composite displacement yachts from 93 to 145 feetand the third launch in two years. She first debuted in the US in Miami in 2013. She was the first model built and outfitted in Benetti’s new 13,779-square-foot Lucca Dockyard facility, next to the historic site in Via Coppino. This third Benetti Classic Supreme will take delivery in April 2014.While she retains many of her hallmark features in line with the range, she does sport some additional features such as a classic-modern interior bydesigner François Zuretti that showcases oak natural shades, warm wenge, diamond pattern leathers and hide (although Benetti interiors are fullycustomizable). Many walls have been adorned with wood and fabric. Flooring throughout the interior includes wool carpet, marble and soft vinyl.Guest area ceilings feature fabric and leather, and bathrooms feature lacquered panel ceilings. Jacuzzis perch on both the forward upper deck and onthe sun deck. Full height windows are prominent on the main and upper deck and add to her racy look. Decks use FSC certified teak. Exteriors weredesigned by Stefano Righini. Azimut | Benetti acted as the builder and naval architect and did contribute to interior design.The main salon is simply exquisite in the Benetti Classic Supreme 132 with its ample natural light from port and starboard, fine woods andcontemporary furnishings. The main salon offers multiple entertainment and lounging options thanks to a 52” HDTV, stereo with iPod docking station,Wi-Fi and a connection to BEST’s (Benetti’s Exclusive Sea Technology) electronic system that consolidates entertainment, home automation,communication and security operations.

Benetti announced not one but threelaunches this year, all of thementering into the final phases ofconstruction.

This Superyachts will measurebetween 50 to 63 meters, and willrepresent a huge achievement for theShipyard and the owner.

But which are these three launches?

1. Vica: It’s a 50m Superyacht and that represents the first time Benetti made aSuperyacht with a hybrid technology.

2. FB264: It’s a 63.5m steel and aluminum yacht, it’s completely custom forprivate use. The shipyard announced this yacht as an “honest to goodness homeon the sea”.

The brand new motor yacht FB264 has been recently launched by the prominent Italian shipyard Benetti in Livorno. Luxury mega yachtFB 264 by Benetti is an impressive 63,5-metre steel and aluminium vessel, designed to be 100% custom and exclusively for private use.

Superyacht FB264 by Benetti is designed as an honest to goodness “home on the sea” starting with the internal layout: apart from the saloon on themain deck there are no large common spaces but rather small, intimate ones. Only the finest materials are used – such as a Galuchat headboard.

The Classic Supreme 132! is a 40m yacht from the board of Stefano Righini, responsible for the concept and theexteriors. The interiors are the results of the work between Alessandro Pulina of Pulina DNA and the yard’s designoffice.

“For this client value and volume were high on the priority list,” explains Peter Hürzeler, managing partner of OceanIndependence. “Together we could achieve the required volume in a yacht that was shorter compared to thecompetition, exactly within the range the client had stipulated as his maximum length, and it was this combinationtogether with Benetti’s professional flexibility, wide range of options and style that won the day.”

Benetti has sold nine superyachts in the period from September 2014 to date. The yard is working on 45 units underconstruction.

Italian shipyard Benetti has announced that 50m

motoryacht Vica (hull FB 801) is ready to weigh anchor.

The operation is scheduled for mid-March in Livorno.

Vica is the first Benetti yacht with fibreglass hull and

aluminium superstructure, a hybrid technology that

allows the yard to take advantage of the sculptural and

flexible qualities of aluminium to meet client

customisation.

Benetti says Vica ensures comfortable hull performance

elastic connection between the engines and prop shaft.

Vica is first Benetti yacht built with hybrid technology

This 50m vessel features spacious exteriors, large decks

both to the bow and stern of the upper deck, and

sundeck.

The exteriors have large full-height windows and also

three removable panels. The first panel is astern and on

the side for hauling in and launching the tender. The

second is at the swimming platform, and the third is at

the lower deck, enabling the lobby to be opened up.

Another feature that is unusual for a boat of this size is

the retractable stair that leads down to the water,

which has been designed exclusively for the boat

owner’s personal use.

The interior layout includes four guest cabins on the

lower deck, the boat owner suite towards the bow on

the main deck, and an additional cabin on the upper

deck.

The 12-member crew shares six cabins on the lower

deck. The interiors were designed for a home-like feel,

except for the foyer with its wrought iron stair.

Cherry is used throughout in both glossy and satin

finishes for the cabins with rosewood detailing.

The lighting design features LEDs and an alabaster

column lit from the inside using white point dynamic

brightness controls.

Benetti has also announced the launch of hull FB264,

and the delivery of motoryacht Surpina.

FB264 is a 63.5m steel and aluminium yacht. The

project is a 100% custom and built exclusively for

private use.

With 56-metre in length and 10.8m beam, Surpina’sexteriors is the direct result of the boat owner’s

functional requirements. Unlike most Benetti yachts of

this size, the stern areas of the main and upper decks

are not open. Instead, they are glazed with large

windows that hide the main deck living area and the

upper deck gym adjacent to the boat owner suite.

The interior layout includes seven guest cabins plus the

boat owner suite.

Surpina is fitted with two MTU 12V 4000M53 1340 kW

engines allowing for a range of 5,000 nautical miles at

a fuel economy speed of 12 knots.

FB801 M/Y VICA – 50m – hybrid technology, fibreglass and aluminium

M/Y VICA – almost 50 metres long – the first Benetti yacht built with hybrid technology: a fibreglass hull

with an aluminium superstructure. The sculptural and flexible qualities of aluminium lend themselves to

client customisation. It is a decidedly Mediterranean vessel featuring spacious exteriors, large decks both

to the bow and stern of the upper deck, as well as an enormous sun deck. M/Y VICA ensures “comfortable”

hull performance (practically vibration free and silent) thanks to a special elastic connection between the

engines and prop shaft.

The exteriors have large full-height windows and also three removable panels – a unique VICA feature. The

first panel is astern and on the side for hauling in and launching the tender; the second is at the swimming

platform; and the third is at the lower deck, enabling the lobby – usually a closed space – to be opened up.

In addition – unusual for a boat of this size – the retractable stair that leads down to the water, exclusively

for the boat owner’s personal use.

The interior layout includes four guest cabins on the lower deck, the boat owner suite towards the bow on

the main deck, and an additional cabin on the upper deck. The 12-member crew shares 6 cabins on the

lower deck. The interiors were designed for a home-like feel, except for the foyer with its impressive

wrought iron stair. Cherry is used throughout in both glossy and satin finishes (for the cabins) with

rosewood detailing. The lighting design is quite evocative, featuring LEDs and an alabaster column lit from

the inside using white point dynamic brightness controls.

FB264 – “home on the water” intimate and priceless

FB264 is a 63.5-metre by 11-metre steel and aluminium yacht. It is 100% custom and exclusively for

private use. The vessel is designed as an honest to goodness “home on the sea” starting with the internal

layout: apart from the saloon on the main deck there are no large common spaces but rather

small, intimate ones. Only the finest materials are used – such as a Galuchat headboard. The simplicity of

the intimate spaces is offset by the extreme complexity of the workmanship. There are many metal inlays,

transparent glass drawers, and other elements that required highly sophisticated woodworking skills, a

complex undertaking even for the expert craftsman at the shipyard.

FB267 – M/Y SURPINA – 100% Italian classicism

M/Y SURPINA – a 56-metre by 10.8-metre yacht with an instantly striking profile. The aesthetic impact of

the exteriors is the direct result of the boat owner’s functional requirements. Unlike most Benetti yachts

of this size, the stern areas of the main and upper decks are not open. Instead, they are glazed with

large windows that hide the main deck living area and the upper deck gym adjacent to the boat owner

suite. The interiors are classic Italian. The layout includes seven guest cabins plus the boat owner suite.

The atmosphere is warm without being heavy, with wood contrasting with white carpet and marble, for an

intimate and relaxing environment. Foremost among the materials is the elm root panelling with

mahogany, walnut, and rosewood detailing. One of the yacht’s hallmarks is the “precious” period furniture

requested by the boat owner – each piece with its own history and a celebration of Italian

craftsmanship. Performance is assured with two MTU 12V 4000M53 1340 kW engines, for a range of 5,000

nautical miles at a fuel economy speed of 12 knots.

Benetti announces the sale of seventh Classic Supreme 132

The Benetti Classic Supreme 132’ series originally conceived as six composite yachts ranging from 28m to 44m has now confirmed the sale of unit 7(hull BS007). Benetti has been quick to praise its continued partnership with the Ocean Independence brokerage house for the ongoing success of theClassic Supreme line.

Fabio Ermetto, Chief Commercial Officer of Benetti, comments: “This signed contract was the result of a positive long term collaboration with the teamfrom Ocean Independence who represented the client in this project and who were able to interact in an extremely professional manner with the teamfrom the yard. This confirms the trend of Benetti's commercial collaboration with the worldwide brokerage network and specifically with the majorbrokerage houses.”

Peter Hürzeler, Managing Partner of OCEAN Independence added: “For this client of leading broker Marc Händle, value and volume were high on thepriority list. Together we could achieve the required volume in a yacht that was shorter compared to the competition, exactly within the range the Clienthad stipulated as his maximum length, and it was this combination together with Benetti’s professional flexibility, wide range of options and style thatwon the day.”

BS007 will be 40.24m with conceptual and exterior design by Stefano Righini, interior design to be provided by Alessandro Pulina of Pulina DNA. BS007 can accommodate 10 guests infive cabins and is equipped with two MTU 12V2000 M72 (1080 kW)@2.250 rpm engines, enabling her to reach maximum speeds of 15.5 knots.

November and will be handed over in January 2016. The

concept and exterior styling is by Stefano Righini, while

Alessandro Pulina of Pulina DNA, based in Pisa, was

responsible for the interior, along with Benetti’s design office.

Ocean Independence brought the owner to the yard.

“For this client of broker Marc Händle, value and volume were

high on the priority list. Together, we achieved the required

volume in a yacht that was shorter compared to the

competition, and exactly within the range the client had

stipulated as his maximum length. It was this combination,

together with Benetti’s professional flexibility, and the range

of options and styles, that won the day,” says Peter Hürzeler,

managing partner of Ocean Independence.

Italian shipbuilding and boat building company Benetti(http://www.benettiyachts.it/), successfully launched its 60 metre FB255

superyacht Formosa, that had been sold in 2012 by Fraser Yachts to an Asian client. Fraser’s Jan-Jaap Minnema reported that the

Letter of Intent for the new order was signed the day after the Hainan boat show. “We modified and re-written the technical specs,

substantially changed the General Arrangements, decided the interior styling and negotiated the contract. This all in just over 30

days. It is typical for the Asian style of business: extremely efficient and fast!”

The five-deck, steel-hull yacht has 10.6-metre beam and an ample 1,060GT volume. Her layout includes a private owner’s deck, and

Formosa accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms, looked after by 15 crew members. Exterior design and naval architecture is by

Benetti’s in-house team, while the interior layout and design of the guest’s area were created by the Sinot Design Studio, in close

collaboration with the owner. There are five suites for up to ten guests, with the whole deck made for the owner’s apartments. The

captain plus a crew of 14 is available to see to all the guest’s needs.

The super yacht Formosa is powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 M53 engines, and promises to cruise at 15 knots, and with a 130,000-

litre fuel capacity, she has a range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economical cruise speed.

Benetti’s (http://www.benettiyachts.it) first hybrid-powered megayacht is about to hit thewater. Vica, previously known as FB801 (her hull number), is also noteworthy forfeaturing an aluminum superstructure mated to a fiberglass hull.

Vica had her initial technical launch late last year. The all-custom megayacht is nearly164 feet (50 meters) LOA and, as you’d expect, boasts generous alfresco areas for theowners’ party. To create even more outdoor relaxation space, Vica has three removablepanels—not just hatches that flip up or down. One makes the lower-deck lobby anadditional entry for guests aboard the tender. Vica has her remaining two removablepanels aft: at the swim platform, and on one side, the latter for tender launch andretrieval. Another nice alfresco feature: retractable stairs into the water.

Vica follows a traditional layout inside, with four guest staterooms below and a main-deck owners’ suite. However, there’s a fifth guest stateroom on the upper deck. Thedecor is also pretty traditional, highlighted by cherrywood and rosewood details, treatedto be high-gloss or satin-finished in various areas. Increasingly popular LEDs are usedthroughout, particularly within an alabaster column in one room.

Vica is one of three megayachts Benetti is either launching or delivering this month.FB264, a 208-footer (63.5-meter), is another custom project, for private use. Her interiorshould be pretty detailed, with glass drawers and metal inlays among the eye-catchingdetails. Then there’s Surpina, a.k.a. FB267. This 183’7” (56-meter) megayacht has glass-

Project: Carver C43 Coupe

Carver present the project for a C43 Coupe which continues its revamp of the models from the US builder.The C series introduced a couple years ago with the 34, today represents all the Carver line up and the C43is to be the new flagship. The C43 is a fully enclosed hard top sport cruiser, with a spacious aft deck, and agalley saloon up cabins below interior layout. Below deck is two cabins with a spacious owners roomforward served by it's owner en-suite shower head, and a twin berth guest cabin to starboard. New Model: Benetti 56m FB267

Italian classicism this is Benetti latest fully custom 56 metre super yacht which strikes immediately yourattention thanks to its instantly striking profile. The aesthetic impact of the exteriors is the direct result ofthe boat owner's functional requirements. Unlike most Benetti yachts of this size, the stern areas of themain and upper decks are not open. Instead, they are glazed with large windows that hide the main deckliving area and the upper deck, this featuring a gym adjacent to the boat owner suite. The interiors areclassic Italian. The layout includes seven guest cabins plus the boat owner suite. The atmosphere is warmwithout being heavy, with wood contrasting with white carpet and marble, for an intimate and relaxingenvironment. Foremost among the materials is the elm root paneling with mahogany, walnut, androsewood detailing. Arcadia Expands in USA

Arcadia Yachts is pleased to announce that, as part of development plans for extra-European marketstargeting sales expansion, brand awareness and reputation, Mr. Alessandro Diomedi will now be in chargeof operations for the Americas. The appointment is due to the renowned capabilities and expertise of Mr.Alessandro Diomedi, who held the position of Ferretti Group Manager for approximately ten years, firstfor the Asian, and later the American markets, with excellent results. This appointment coincides with thepresentation of the Arcadia 85 at the 2015 Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show, beginning next February 12th,and with the important signing for a new Arcadia 85, destined for the South American market. UgoPellegrino, Arcadia Yachts Ceo, warmly welcomes Mr Diomedi to his new position.

Bavaria Takes More Awards

The sailing and motor yachts of Bavaria are still on track to win. In Warsaw, the Sport 360 won in thecategory motor yachts bigger nine meters the ‘Polish Boat of the Year’ award. In the category sailing yachtsthe Nautitech Open 40 took the award and won against other catamarans. In Croatia, the Cruiser 46 gotthe ‘Croatian Boat of the Year’ award her second award this year after winning the ‘European Boat of theYear’ award in January. The Sport 360 had already been awarded with the ‘Best of Boats’ award in Berlinbefore the turn of last year.

Bavaria Strengthens Position in China

The German renowned boat builder Bavaria announces a major investment into the Chinese marketeffective to start in 2015. Bavaria is one of the major players on the boating market for sailing and powerboats ranging from 30 to 56 feet and recently added a catamaran range following the purchase of theFrench Nautitech brand. Established in 1978 and delivering every year around 1200 boats to the market,Bavaria has successfully developed a strong dealership network in 52 countries. The Chinese market iscertainly one of the most promising markets for the company which currently possesses a regional officein Shanghai, managed by the Asia-Pacific Sales Director, Mrs. Reanna Wang, and a strong dealershipnetwork within the country. With the currently presence in China, the company sees a need to furtherdevelop the market which represents a huge potential for this size range of boats and is also verycatamaran-friendly. Having all three types of yachts it its portfolio, a strong German know how andengineering background, Bavaria is on the right path to enjoy its part of success in the Chinese market.With the new investment that the company has injected into China, a large number of stock boats from thewhole range will soon be available from different locations nationwide which mean quick delivery time forClients and more effective work for the dealers. Bavaria Yachts China in Shanghai will also establish anAfter Sales department in the South of China which will serve as a support and training base for all dealersand clients. This base will be operated by the shipyard experts and their Chinese team. The Chinesemiddle upper class segment is quickly growing and hence Bavaria’s conviction in the brand and the righttime to reinforce its position on this challenging but promising market. Benetti Commercial Achievements 2015

Benetti, the world's top builder of over 24m yachts for 15 consecutive years, confirms their ongoingcommercial success with sales of 9 super yachts from September 2014 until now, including a full-custom65m, 7 Displacement Class and one Veloce 140' Fast Displacement Class, the latter confirming the strongappeal of this new line following its introduction in 2012. This commercial success follows the news – seeprevious Press Release issued during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2014 – regarding the sale of two over100m mega-yachts. The Benetti production line is working at full speed on 19 yachts, all to be delivered in2015, including seven Custom projects 50m and larger and twelve Class semi-custom units. With 45yachts under construction in Livorno and Viareggio, and thanks to the constant attention paid towardsclients and the yard's solid financial situation, Benetti is riding a wave of commercial success, confirmingthe market's interest for all the yard's models and new designs throughout the world. Encouraged by thesepositive results and previsions for the future, Benetti, with an eye towards satisfying the continuingrequests for their yachts, has decided to begin production of a 63m on spec. This will assure that evenclients with short delivery constraints will have the possibility to own such a large yacht in a relativelyshort time.

Bertram Letter of Intent by Gavio Group

Argo Finanziaria, holding of the Gavio Group, announces it has undersigned a Letter of Intent withFerretti SpA regarding the takeover of Bertram, one of the leading yachting brands in the United Statesand all over the world. The acquisition is expected to be finalised by 31 March 2015, following appropriatedue diligence of Betram’s assets, the definition of the conditions, guarantees, and commitments requiredfor this type of transactions, and after obtaining all the necessary authorisations pursuant to theapplicable laws and regulations. Established by Richard Bertram in 1960, Bertram is a true icon of USyachting. It is the legendary brand of the famous Moppies, thousands of which were built between the1960s and the 1990s. Bertram yachts have always been a synonym of performance, outstandingseaworthiness, reliability, excellence, and style. The acquisition of the Bertram brand follows the takeoverby the Gavio Group of two other important yachting brands – Cantieri Cerri, in September 2011, andBaglietto, in February 2012. The latter is the symbol of international yachting and is currently the oldestItalian shipyard still in business. By including Bertram into its yachting brand portfolio, the Group willfurther extend the range of boats it produces. It will also create a prestigious ‘hub’ in the luxury yachtssegment, capable of creating strong synergies by sharing resources, optimizing costs, integrating salesnetworks, and further promoting its chances to successfully operate on the fast-growing US market.

Elandra Sales Success

Australian luxury motoryacht builder Elandra Yachts has achieved multiple sales of its Elandra 53 semi-custom sports yacht following its unveiling in September last year. The first two Elandra 53s were sold toNew South Wales buyers. Elandra 53 No.2, with a gleaming gold hull colour, is in build at the company'syard in Queensland and is scheduled for completion in May. A white gelcoat-hulled Boat No.3. will becompleted in August. Elandra Yachts has also announced the appointment of Chris Hills of AustralianBoat Sales to represent the company in Sydney Harbour. The dealership has operated from offices on theHarbour for the past 11 years.

Filippetti Receives Two Successes

Two major awards arrived for Filippetti Navetta30 M/Y Gatsby by Boat International Media. M/Y Gatsbyis one of the finalists in two of the most important and prestigious industry awards: the World SuperyachtAwards and ShowBoats Design Awards. The impressive group of finalists includes the best super yachtsbuilt and delivered to the owner in the last twelve months. The World Superyacht Awards recognize, frommore than 10 years, the best superyachts newly built, delivered to their owners during the last year. Thejury, arranged by eighteen superyacht owners and two high-level professionals, has visited the boat duringthe Cannes Boat Show, where it was presented in a world premiere. The Filippetti Navetta 30 M/Y Gatsbywas named as a finalist in the category "Displacement Motor Yachts of below 500GT - 30m to 42.99m."The awards ceremony will take place in Amsterdam in May. While the World Superyacht Awardsrecognizes superyachts in their entirety, the ShowBoats Design Awards focuses directly on thefundamental design aspects of superyacht design such as naval architecture, exterior design and interiorlayout. The Navetta 30 Gatsby has been nominated in the category "Environmental Protection Award".Two major awards for the first Filippetti Navetta 30 M/Y Gatsby that further confirm the high quality ofthe founding principles of this “green boat”. This 30 meters, like the other vessels of the line Navetta, hasbeen entirely designed according to environmentally sustainable criteria: displacement hull, soft, roundedlines, low emissions and consumption. Thanks to the fuel tank capacity of 27,000 liters and the low powerconsumption, Filippetti Navetta 30 is able to travel long cruises without the need for intermediatesupplies. In addition to the attention for the environment, great importance has been given to the comfortand the large spaces on board. Princess Double Show Success

Princess Yachts has enjoyed a record start to their 50th anniversary year following a successful winter boatshow season. Beginning at the CWM FX London Boat Show, Princess unveiled a new stand design andfeatured a stunning 10 yacht line-up. The Princess 68 made her show debut alongside the new PrincessS72 which picked up a 2015 Motor Boat Award during the show. In addition the V48 Open, also ondisplay, fought off tough competition to scoop another Motor Boat Award for the Sportscruiser over 45ftcategory. In the wake of London's success Princess also enjoyed a record show at boot Dusseldorf. ThePrincess 98 Motor Yacht was once again the largest yacht at the show and impressed visitors to the standwith her Art Deco inspired interior, Armani Casa fabrics and accessories including lamps by PortaRomana. The 98 was part of a seven yacht display which also included award-winning models such as thePrincess 43 and the V39.

Viking Miami Montage

Some 5,333 visitors came through Viking impressive 14 boat display at the 2015 Miami Yacht & BrokerageShow last week. Zeelander Appoints New President

Zeelander Yachts B.V. announced today the appointment of Michele Allen to President of Zeelander USA,based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations aswell as executing key strategic growth initiatives. Ms. Allen brings 30 years of diversified experienceproviding strategic, tactical and financially responsible leadership. Allen has a long track record ofbuilding value and maximum revenue growth for both product and service organizations, most recently asGeneral Manager of Bradford Marine Yacht Sales. Prior to that, she served in pivotal roles includingDirector of Product Development for QVC, Vice President of Operations for Teslar Watches, Director ofSales and Marketing for Hotels.com and Vice President of Marketing for Sky Limo Air Charter. ZeelanderYachts also announced today a company restructure which includes the addition of a yacht sales divisionin preparation for growth and new products. This new division led by Chris Holtzheuser as President, willprovide an improved experience for those buying and selling their vessels. Benetti Yachts debuts three new models

Benetti’s FB264 is a 209-foot highly customized aluminum yachtthat was recently launched at a yard in Livorno, Italy.

European custom superyacht builder Benetti Yachts continues to report new builds for its high-endproducts, announcing three that start at 165 feet.

The 209-foot FB264 aluminum yacht was recently launched at the builder’s yard in the Italian portcity of Livorno.

Benetti said it soon will launch FB801, the 165-foot M/Y Vica, which is the first Benetti yacht builtwith hybrid technology — a fiberglass hull with an aluminum superstructure.

Also in the water is FB267, the 185-foot M/V Surpina, which will be delivered later this month.

Benetti Launches 63.5-meter Superyacht 'FB264'

Italian yard Benetti Yachts launched another superyacht recently. This time it is a 63.5-meter yacht built under hull ID 'FB264'. This one is going to be one-hundred percent forprivate usage and so far no name has been seen on her sides as yet. This 63.5-meter yachtappears to have four internal decks above the waterline and a sun deck. She was built with asteel hull and aluminium superstructure and displaces around 1,000 tonnes at full load.Although not as wide as she could be given her 60+meter frame she still has a comfortable11-meter beam. The interiors aren't sprawling either but made up of intimate spaces for herprivate owner and guests/family. It appears as she is carrying seven staterooms for herguests and owner. Three twins, a double, two VIPs and the owner's suite. She is powered viaa pair of MTU 12V 4000 M53 marine diesels with a top speed of 15.5-knots anticipated.Economic cruise speed should be a cool 12-knots and a range of 4,800 nautical milesattainable at that speed or slower. The exterior design and styling is that of Benetti and theinterior is by FM-Architettura d'Interni.

Benetti Secures Sale of 7th Classic Supreme Motoryacht

This Italian yard is continuing with their hard work and success after securing the sale forthe seventh Benetti Classic Supreme Class motoryacht. Fabio Ermetto, Chief CommercialOfficer of Benetti, comments, “This signed contract was the result of a positive long termcollaboration with the team from OCEAN Independence who represented the client in thisproject and who was able to interact in an extremely professional manner with the teamfrom the yard. This confirms the trend of Benetti's commercial collaboration with theworldwide brokerage network and specifically with the major brokerage houses.” Theseventh hull is having a design by Stefano Righini, no surprises there. However, the interioris being done by Alessandro Pulina of Pulina DNA in conjunction with Benetti's designoffice. The trideck motoryacht is an updated styling over the previous generation of 'Classic'hulls from Benetti. Special features expected onboard include a large jacuzzi on the aft sundeck, sleeker design lines, notched-out bulwarks to allow better viewing outside from theupper deck lounge and the main deck saloon. The 40-meter motoryacht is being built inGRP materials and is likely powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M72s with a top speed around15.5-knots.
