Getting teachers, parents and students “on-board” is the key to launching a successful fundraising program. The perfect opportunity to communicate fundraising programs is through school orientation meetings and student information packets at the beginning of the school year.

We recommend that the Community Cash for Schools® program information be shared with every family to help them understand why their support is so important and to fully understand all the ways they can help.

• Create a competition between classrooms or clubs. For instance, the classroom/club who turnsin the most Proofs of Purchase gets a pizza party.

• Get students involved by giving small rewards (fun pencils, notebooks, etc.) for every child whoturns in 10 Proofs of Purchase. Turning in 50 POPs might earn a slightly larger reward, such as anextra five minutes of recess or library time.

• Reward the child from each class or grade who turns in the most POPs with a bookstore gift card and their photo displayed in the school library.

• Have a POPs collection bin and progress chart in every classroom. Students canempty their collection bin once a week, count the POPs, bag them and update their progresschart each time.
