RUB-A-DUB Honoring Bubba Urdan Tuesday, August 20, 2019 • Franklin Hills Country Club • 5:30 p.m. R ub-a-Dub is ORT Michigan’s largest fundraiser of the year, attracting over 500 attendees in 2018 and generating over $700,000 for ORT. This amazing event, which grew out of a home-grown gathering started in 1975 at the home of Doreen and the late David B. Hermelin and now takes place at Franklin Hills Country Club, is considered the premier charity event of the summer. The event consists of a raffle for a $5,000 Somerset Collection gift card, in addition to an extensive silent auction with a variety of valuable items donated by local, high-end retail stores and restaurants. A live auction offers trips, jewelry, automobile leases, and one-of-a-kind experiences that money cannot buy. In the spirit of the first Rub-a-Dub event, guests are given Instant Lottery Tickets to “rub off” with the hope that any earnings are donated back to ORT. All of this is complemented by great food and the opportunity to network with Metro Detroit’s most influential business leaders and an audience with significant purchasing power. The event also raises funds through a 250+ page Ad Journal that is distributed to all guests at the event and through corporate sponsorships. The Bottle Crew served as Presenting Sponsor in 2018. Rub-a-Dub is ORT Michigan’s largest fundraiser of the year, attracting over 550 attendees in 2012 and generating

nearly $400,000 for ORT. This amazing fundraiser evolved out of a home-grown gathering started in 1983 at the home

of Doreen and the late David B. Hermelin which now takes place at Franklin Hills Country Club and is considered the premier

event of the summer. The event consists of a raffle with a $5,000 Somerset Collection shopping spree as the grand prize, in

addition to a silent auction with items donated by local, high-end retailers which our guests frequently patronize.

A live auction offers trips, jewelry, automobile leases, and one-of-a-kind experiences that money cannot buy. All of this is

complemented by great food and enthusiastic participants from all over metro Detroit, representing high-net-worth

individuals, the sophisticated consumer, and those who have an appreciation for life’s finest. The event also raises funds

through a 150+ page Ad Journal that is distributed to all guests at the event, as well as through corporate sponsorships.

LaFontaine Automotive Group served as the Presenting Sponsor in 2012, as well as in 2011. Other 2012 corporate sponsors
