Gamma Theta is so excited for what the 2019 year has in store for us. Executive Council made a pledge to the chapter this year to be transparent in the choices they

make, ensuring that the entire chapter is a part of the changes that are being made.

All members of the Executive Council went to Regional Leadership Conference and have been putting in motion the plan that was made during that weekend.

Each member of Gamma theta is important to the success of the chapter. Since RLC we as a chapter have been working hard enforcing that starting with the leadership of the

chapter.

The semester has already gotten off to a great start!

Gamma Theta is really focusing on our service this semester.

Elena has been great at letting the chapter know about upcoming service events and philanthropy events.

This semester the chapter has already done 3 service events that Elena put together one of them being a beach clean-up and helping volunteer at a museum.

Everyone is excited for the upcoming event with the LA Food Bank. For last year Sigma Kappa has been going each semester to put together care packages and each time, girls have so much fun.

This has become the service event that we look forward to each semester and the chapter wants to continue this tradition.

For our Ultraviolet Campaign this semester we had, Sigma Kappa Dove Ball with a successful turnout, fraternities competed in a volleyball tournament.

Elena’s next event coming up is Sigma Sweets and the chapter is super excited for the event. Gamma Theta is so proud of Elena and what she has done so far into her term!

Gamma Theta also wants to say thank you to our amazing Alumnae that came toSweet Home Sigma Kappa on March 3rd!

Everyone had such a great time getting to know each other and painting clay flower pots. We continue to remember every day that we Inherit the Earth. The flower pots are

a symbol of our pledge to do better by the environment. Everyone in attendance was advised to paint what they wanted to see different in the world or what they pledged to

do different by the earth.

Gamma Theta looks forward to the next time we can have our beautiful Alumnae come back to the Sigma Kappa house to meet our new member class in the fall.

We hope in the fall to send out the invitations for Alumnae Fun Day a month in advance!

If there is anything that the Alum would like to do with us or see happen, please

email the Vice President of Alumnae Relations Lyndarenee Flores

Gamma Theta wants to Sister Spotlight Kaylee Rydel this newsletter!

Kaylee is a Junior and Vice President of Finance.

We are so proud of everything she has accomplished so far in her term. At Regional Leadership Conference she

had so many great ideas to get the finances of the chapter on track with what the chapter wanted to

accomplish for the upcoming 2019 year.We know how hard she works in ensuring that we are able to have all the events that are planned and how

stressful being in charge of Finances can be so we wanted to say thank you to her as well in this newsletter, and let the Alumnae know that the legacy they left for us

is being well guarded by members like Kaylee.
