Youth of Yesterday will meet for lunch at Meadowbrook Village on
Wednesday, November 11. Coffee at 10:30 with lunch to follow. Pastor Chris
Gordon will lead us in a devotional and the kindergarteners from Calvin
Christian School will sing for us. Cost for the lunch is $7 and if you plan to
attend please sign the sheet on the Information Counter in the foyer.

From Reformed Mission Services: 2015 Peru: We have 7 people registered for the trip as of today. We would like to see at least 3-5 more volunteers to help lay the block for the church building in Lares, Peru. The registration is open on our website as well as more information about cost and travel plans under the “Upcoming trips” section of our website www.rms.org. We are also accepting donations towards the materials for this project. If you have any questions about this trip or how you can donate, contact our Director at [email protected].
Mount of Olives Orphanage, Mexico: Reformed Mission Services (RMS) is looking for individuals to go to
the Mount of Olives Children’s Village in Uruapan, Mexico on November 14-21, 2015. If you desire to be a
part of this trip, please contact Rob Brinks, the Director of RMS, at [email protected] for more details. ALSO,
SAVE THE DATES: RMS is also planning a trip to the orphanage for February 6-13, 2016. Registration and
details for both trips are on our website, www.rms.org in the upcoming or international trips area.

Salem Christian Homes in Chino, California is seeking a highly
engaged, experienced, and dynamic leader to fill its CEO position. The
organization has a fifty four year history of providing Christian care for
individuals who have developmental disabilities. At present 112 adults are
being cared for in nineteen community homes in Chino, Ontario, Upland
and Lakewood, California. Applicants are invited to send a letter of interest

[email protected]. A complete application packet will be sent to all
interested applicants.
On Wednesday, October 7, the Young People held a can drive scavenger hunt to collect
food for Salvation Army. This year the youth group collected over 650 cans to donate
to the Salvation Army Food pantry and services. Thank you to all those who welcomed
us in and gave food for the drive. ……...the Young People

The General Fund offering not only support the ongoing expenses of our local congregation, but also other ministries such as:
CLIR-Rev. Bill Green, and Oceanside URC. The deacons ask that everyone support the General Fund with 5% of their income
and other causes with an additional 5% of their income.
DESCRIPTIONS OF OFFERINGS BUILDING FUND is used to maintain the facilities and for any new building projects or improvements on the
church properties.
CALVIN CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS TUITION AID This offering is used for tuition assistance for families from our
church who are unable to pay full tuition at Calvin Christian Schools. The Deacons think that it is necessary to
maintain at least two tuition aid offerings per month. Keep in mind that our commitment for tuition aid amounts to
$58,942.08 for the 2015-2016 school year .
THANKSGIVING ENVELOPES Thanksgiving Day offering envelopes will be inserted into the Sunday before Thanksgiving bulletin. Please fill it out
and bring it with you for the Thanksgiving Day Service. If needed, there will be extras on the Information
Counter. All undesignated offerings will go into the General Fund.

MNA-Rev. Juan Arjona – is a church planting work of the Presbyterian Church in America to reach the Hispanic
community in Escondido, CA. Mission Vida Nueva is also called and part of the MNA-Mission to North America.
HOMES FOR MEXICO - Homes for Mexico is a fund established for donations designated specifically for mission
work in Baja California, Mexico. The funds are used by the church to buy materials in Mexico that are connected to
the various mission trips and work projects we are involved in. These trips include house building in Vicente
Guerrero, widows and pastors homes in Tijuana, and group homes for an orphanage in Uruapan.
BENEVOLENT FUND This fund is administered by the deacons to those with financial needs in our congregation
and in our community.
FUTURE BUILDING FUND - The Future Building Fund is for the exclusive purpose of saving money for new design
and construction to replace and/or structurally remodel the existing facilities.
