custom industrial spring designSpiros fully understands that the process of correct design is more than half the battle. Review and analysis of drawings, prototyping and thorough testing of each custom spring is critical to its successful application. Spiros has the flexibility and engineering horsepower to work with your original plans or help design a part based on the specific demands of its function.

for over twenty years, spiros industries has been serving the needs of customers

worldwide. A key ingredient to our continued success has been the flexibility necessary

to keep pace with evolving technology and quality demands. not just in the springs and

wire forms we manufacture, but in the way we’re able to respond to our customers’

Quality controlThe only area of manufacture that we regard with unwaivering rigidity is quality control. There can be no deviation in delivering the quality parts you need…when you need them… and, at the price promised. Exceeding ISO/TS 16949 quality standards, our equipment is maintained and serviced by Spiros inspectors and spring makers. Utilizing state of the art Micro-Vu systems, our technicians thoroughly examine, measure and monitor compliance of our products with 31-577X magnification. In addition, as quality standards change, Spiros Industries will adapt and comply to assure you precise parts consistently. In the final analysis, flexibility has its place in quality control as well.

torsion Wire springsThe flexibility to form torsion springs in any configuration and wire gauge further sets Spiros apart from the pack. By offering our customers a one-stop approach to their spring needs, Spiros helps ease the demand for additional engineering, scheduling and purchasing functions by our customers.

Torsion Springs work by applying torque or storing rotational energy. Because torsion springs have an extended “arm” on either end of the coiled spring section, the arm connects to another component within a mechanism that requires rotational force. Loads placed on the arms create torque around the spring’s centerline, thereby exerting a force in a circular arc. As the arms rotate about the central axis, their resistance to being twisted generates a force that produces rotation.

compression Wire springsCommon compression springs are anything but common at Spiros. The same attention to detail and flexible manufacturing options we provide for complex torsion springs are applied liberally to these products as well. Simple springs doesn’t mean simple attention to detail.

Compression Springs resist being forced into less space. The spring actually “stores the compressed energy” within the compressed shape. They are the most common spring type and are used in quite a wide variety of applications, from automotive engines, agricultural and construction equipment to major household appliances. Smaller and micro-fine compression springs are used in electronics manufacturing and micro-fine and ultra-fine sizes are used in medical, dental and surgical devices and instrumentation manufacturing.

extension Wire springsAn Extension Spring is activated when a linear force is applied along the length of the coil, stretching it open. The spring’s initial tension is created by resisting the “stretch”. As the spring tries to maintain or return to its original shorter length, it utilizes the force created by the tension.

Extension springs are used to provide tensioning in many applications. Spiros can manufacture these springs in two primary configurations: Straight Coil Springs and Constant Force Springs. Regardless of length, wire type, or spring configuration, Spiros offers the flexibility and talented spring makers needed to provide extension springs to customers worldwide.

custom Wire formingSpiros has the capacity to manufacture custom wire coils and wire forming components using the latest technologies available. Whether you need simple custom S-Hooks and D-Rings or unique wire bending shapes we can deliver. From component prototypes to fabrication, finishing, assembly and packaging our expertise, experience, and equipment will all be brought to bear on delivering the precise parts you are looking for.

With a wide variety of wire types, run lengths, and delivery methods available, wire forming can often offer great time and cost savings over other traditional methods. Let Spiros flexibility show you how custom wire forming could be the answer to your manufacturing challenges.

Automation & packagingSpiros Industries has gone well above and beyond the options available to you as they apply to packaging. Our fully automated equipment has the capacity to sort, carton, and deliver your springs and wire forms however it best suits your needs. Utilizing an engineering perspective, Spiros presents packaging options so that your production assembly will run without costly entanglements.

From a simple bag of parts to partially constructed assemblies, we are able to provide our products in ways only imagined by many of our competitors. Not only does this packaging flexibility eliminate inefficiencies down the line, it will help contain costs by utilizing robotic technologies where possible.

fulf i l lment & del iveryPutting our springs and wire forms on your dock exactly when and how you need them is the last but not least important step of the process. With flexible delivery scheduling to take advantage of your manufacturing timetables, Spiros brings one more cost savings to the process. Parts can be scheduled for delivery by location, quantity, day of the week or any other parameter that best accommodates your needs. Although JIT delivery is not an all new idea, it still has a valuable place in the manufacturing process. Let our delivery flexibility help you get the most out of this time tested delivery method.

testimonials“Spiros has a great focus on customer service, and they recognize that even though you have the business today, it does not mean you have it forever. They constantly look to improve themselves and make themselves more of an asset to the customer. One of the things I enjoy most about working with Spiros is that I know no matter what the situation, I will always get what I need.” Candace Kirt, Sr. Buyer In-Sink-Erator

“Initially I made the decision to switch to Spiros due to some quality problems on specific springs, but mainly due to price. The transition went relatively smoothly, and what we were able to get by making the switch was a supplier who has turned out to be almost a partner. Their pricing has remained competitive, quality has been excellent, and their customer service is probably the best out of any of the suppliers on our approved list. They have put together a team that responds to our needs, probably knows our spring needs as well as, or better than us, and has offered design assistance on a regular basis.” Pat Murray, Sr. Buyer CompX

“Service and quality are without a doubt the two main reasons we do business with Spiros, but reaction time and flexibility are even more important in this changing world that we live in. Spiros is willing to go the extra mile to ‘please’ the customer. That, along with some very friendly service, makes Spiros our number one source for springs.” Pablo Rocha, Buyer Strattec
