“Just Breathe” 7 9 PM relaxation and guidedmeditation.

Hope Blooms This time every year, we reflect on the year, and celebrate our friendship and sisterhood, and the good we’ve done to support our Foundation. Last year, I spoke of hope, and howin so many places and ways it could be seen in our sisters. From small gestures andphone calls, to big celebrations and fun. Nothing has diminished that hope – rather thisyear, we have focused on how we continue to have hope bloom. How we can each growourselves to be our better selves, and grow our friendships and outreach. We do this bykeeping close the ideals of our oath of friendship, and knowing our sisters are doing thesame for us. As we reflect on hope, we can see that it has the potential to bloom anywhere, even inthe smallest of places, and grow to impact so many. Think of our Founders, who asthree young women, gathered in the night, unable to be home for the holidays with theirfamilies, founded a club of “mutual helpfulness” and to “Do Good”. From there, their clubbloomed, growing beyond their classroom walls, and into the hearts of women acrossthe country, and world. The bonds of the Delta Gamma sisterhood have grown fromhope, and the desire to “Do Good”.

The sisters of NewportSouth Coast Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter are honored to beanchored in the tradition of Hope and to "Do Good" and it continues to bloom amongstus. We are proud that as a chapter and individually, our members have been a part ofseveral Foundation events providing hope for those with vision impairment. We areencouraging sisters to bloom through social engagement, philanthropy, and self personalgrowth, creating connections for lifelong engagement and sisterhood. The diversity of our membership has added to our opportunity to grow with hope, aswe’ve met new sisters. We have held monthly meetings and events ranging in interests;have thriving Special Interests Groups including a way fun themed costume Book Club,Breakfast Club, and Out & About group; and keep our motto to "Do Good" in our mindsand actions always. We have followed Article II of the Delta Gamma Constitution andgrew hope doing it: “The objects of this Fraternity shall be to foster high ideals offriendship among women, to promote their educational and cultural interests, to create inthem a true sense of social responsibility, and to develop in them the best qualities ofcharacter.”

Hope blooms in many different ways for us all, and it continues to grow and provideStrength and Life through Delta Gamma sisterhood. The NewportSouth Coast DeltaGamma Alumnae Chapter continues to bloom in beautiful ways, and provides hope aplace to grow. For Hope, For Strength, For Life – Delta Gamma!
