Properties Robust, slip-resistant birch plywood suitable for a wide range of demanding applications. Easily worked and CNC machined with the appropriate tooling. ATP Buffalo Board has been specified for use in a wide range of vehicles including the ultra tough SupaCat ‘Jackal’ HMV.
It can also be used for trailers, trucks and is now one of the main decking boards utilised by vehicle manufacturers throughout the UK and Ireland. Buffalo Board also meets all the relevant EN standards and is suitable for structural load-bearing applications.

Properties Economical, lighweight lining plywood for walls, doors and ceilings in vehicles and containers. Easy to clean with a damp cloth and provides a cleaner, lighter interior option than dark un-coated utility plywood, which can become dirty and damaged.

10 Specialist Birch plywood
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION - BIRCH PLYWOOD
ATP have a comprehensive Chain of Custody system set up to ensure that the plywood we supply has been legally sourced from sustainable, well-managed European forests. Plywood that has been manufactured from certified material can be identified by the PEFC or FSC logo.
As concern for the environment gathers pace, more and more commercial vehicle builders and fleet managers are being asked to select and specify timber-based products from certified sources whenever possible, and many local authorities and utility companies will only purchase FSC / PEFC certified plywood. ATP supplies a wide range of certified birch plywood from stock and also provides all the necessary documentation in order to ensure complete transparency.
PLYWOOD CONSTRUCTION, BOND QUALITY AND CE MARKING
ATP birch plywood is constructed from 1.4mm birch veneers and bonded with thermosetting phenolic resins (formerly ‘WBP bonded’) which meet EN 314-2: 1993 Class 3. Exterior Bonding Quality. Provided the edges of the coated plywood remain sealed they can be used for exterior purposes. We also supply acrylate resin paint for re-sealing the plywood edges.
CE marking to EN 13986: Relates to plywood which is used as part of a building, e.g. flooring, walls or roofing. ATP birch plywood is CE Structural and suitable for load bearing applications such as flooring and working platforms.
Tabulated strength data is available on request, plus further information can be found in BS 5628: Part 2. 2002 and in The Finnish and Latvian Plywood Handbooks – electronic copies of these are available on request. CE Structural quality plywood should always be used for load-bearing applications such as trailer flooring and working platforms.
