Welcome to week 6.
Following on from last week’s parent feedback from the Tell Them From Me Surveys, this week I would like to include a sample of comments from our students.
What do you like about your school/how can we make it better?
• I like the playground and my favourite thing is the blue equipment. • I really like how we have so much equipment and other schools
don’t have as much. • I really would like more art in class. • A new flying fox would be good. • I loved kindness week, I like Middle school and our rotations. • I like that the school has great teachers that push us to learn. • They should unban soccer. • I like the Library but I would like new toilets. • I like how kind people are becoming, being with my friends and
the technology. • A healthier canteen and more books in the Library. • EVERYTHING!! • A YuGioh dueling arena • I love the education we get. I don’t really know what could make it
better.
This is just a snapshot but overall, we are very happy with the student feedback – they answered the questions
Have a good week

Approved through Bland Temora Family Day Care and working alongside families who require early starts and late finishes I meet the needs of the families and children in care. Attending after school sports is not an issue, as I have my own children who are very active members of the community who require attendance to their after school activities on top of the programmed activities my service provides. Kindergarten Orientation News DAY 2
We had a wonderful second orientation day last Friday. It was great to see so many children making a smooth transition into the classroom. Again fine motor skills were a focus as well as learning about the daily routines of a classroom and the school.
The highlight of the day was the school tour! The students visited the library, canteen, staff room, office AND watched an impromptu performance from class 5A in the music room. At recess they had their first big play on the blue equipment which was a big hit!
See you all again next Friday at 9:30am for our first FULL DAY session (pick up time 3:00pm).
Year 6 - Hospital Careers Day Last Wednesday Year 6 went to the West Wyalong Hospital to participate in a Careers Day.
Students learned about nursing, radiography, physiotherapy, paramedics, police and healthy living from a dietitian. Thank you so much for this opportunity, our students had a great day.
Over the last 4 weeks, we have participated in skills and drills provided by Cricket Australia. Students in Kindergarten, Year One, Year Two, Year Three and Year Four have participated in four weeks of skills and game practice run by accredited coaches from Cricket Australia. This is a wonderful opportunity for our staff and students, which is all made possible by accessing the funds provided by Sporting Schools Australia.
This year we have been able to access a total of $12800.00 from Sporting Schools Australia. Throughout the year our students have participated in tennis, cricket, rugby union and AFL skills all delivered by accredited coaches. We have also been able to give our students swimming entry and instruction for free and purchase portable basketball hoops, basketballs and new athletics equipment for our students to enjoy in the playground.
We have been fortunate enough to benefit from the skillset provided by Rugby Union Australia over the last five weeks. Students in years three to six have participated in five weeks of skills and game practice run by an accredited coach from Rugby Australia. Our Infants students also enjoyed three weeks of skill-based fun. This is an incredible opportunity for our staff and students, which is all made possible by accessing the funds provided by Sporting Schools Australia.
