METHOD OF TEST

DIN 50018 - 2013“Testing in a saturated atmosphere in the presence of sulfur dioxide”

Test Conditions :

Test designation : DIN 50018-AHT 2.0S

Gas type : Sulphur dioxide, SO2 (99.9% purity)

Concentration of SO2 : 0.67% v/v theoretical SO2 concentration at beginning of each test cycle

Test cycle : Phase 1 - 8 hours at 40 ± 3°C, including pre-heating

Phase 2 - 16 hours at ambient atmosphere (22 to 24oC)

Relative humidity : Phase 1 - greater than 95% (condensing)

Phase 2 - 53 to 73%

Total duration : 15 cycles (360 hours)

Position of samples : Hang freely

Method of cleaning : Before test - nil

After test - water-rinsed and air-dried

“Blygold PoluAl XT”- Substantial white deposits on fins and inner tubes- No detachment of fins
