When Exonetik moved from prototyping to product development, software development rigor was not enough anymore. In aerospace, the team have to formally demonstrate the attainment of the objectives required by DO-178C DAL A, for instance. At that point, Exonetik was looking for a tool that would meet the Table A-7 code coverage objectives, and more specifi cally objective 5, which requires Modfi ed Condition/Decision Coverage (MC/DC) analysis. The search led to Testwell CTC++. During the product assessment, the team was able to get code coverage results in less than a day without even using VerifySoft support team. In itself, this achievement was enough to convince the team of the Testwell CTC ++ ease of use and the low impact that its adoption would have on its development processes.

The results provided by Testwell CTC ++ in HTML format are intuitive, lean and easy to read.

The results are quickly summarized and identify where code coverage is missing, while their layout greatly facilitates the demonstration of code coverage with certifi cation authorities.

The deployment of this tool and its licenses has also been easy, with a fl exibility that allows Exonetik’s developers to share a license without irritation.
