Make Your Own Chewing Gum?
Thursday, April 15th
4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Did you ever wonder where chewing gum originally came from? Many years ago it was made from chicle,
which is the sap of the Sapodilla tree. Sapodilla trees grow in the rainforests of Central America, where men
used to climb up the trees and slash the trunks for sap.
Children are welcome to try and make their own gum on Thursday, April 15th from 4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
We will simply soften the chicle base, add some sugar and flavoring, mix it up, and wow – we have gum!
Parent helpers are encouraged for very young children.
No registration is necessary. Call the library for more information at 546-3391.

April, or until all coupons are handed out. You may pick up your
official coloring sheet at the desk, and when you turn in your
completed picture, you will get a coupon for one free scoop of
