This is a unique and exciting opportunity to become fully trained and accredited as an Every Child Counts teacher as part of the Numbers Count initiative. This job opportunity can either be a temporary one year 0.8 contract or a secondment opportunity as a Full Time Numeracy Subject Leader. In return, the school will fully support and fund the intensive training provided by Numbers Count.

Temporary One year Post 0.8This post would consist of running the Every Child Counts programme providing 1:1 intervention with Year 2 children each morning and then covering PPA 2 afternoons a week.

We are looking for someone who:• is an outstanding classroom practitioner who has high expectations of teaching and learning as well as behaviour for all children;• can work as part of a team and contribute to its development;• has at least two years experience of working within KS1;• is prepared to take an active part in the school community.OR

Secondment – Full Time Numeracy Subject LeaderThis post would consist of running Every Child Counts 5 mornings a week, covering 2 PPA sessions and the remaining contract will be developing and leading Numeracy across the school to raise standards which is the school’s main priority for the next academic year. If you require experience in Key Stage 1 to progress your career further or need experience in another school setting, then this would be the opportunity for you. You will need to seek the full agreement of a secondment from your school before applying for this post. In return, after the one year, your school will receive a fully trained and accredited Every Child Counts teacher to raise standards in Key Stage 1.

We are looking for someone who:• is an outstanding classroom practitioner who has high expectations of teaching and learning as well as behaviour for all children;• has a proven record of raising standards and attainment in a core subject area;• has been teaching for at least two years• can work as part of a team and contribute to its development;• is prepared to take an active part in the school community.This job is due to start in September 2012. When our current Year 6 Teacher starts her maternity leave, we plan to fill her post with our assistant headteacher, who is currently non-teaching. The teacher that we appoint will be responsible for teaching a class share in year 4 - Thursday and Friday and then provide the assistant headteacher with release time on Monday and Tuesday afternoons and all day Wednesday.
