ABOUT US

safety lMs was developed to solve a need for all us tower companies. previously, companies didn’t have much of a choice when it came to training programs. they were basically stuck attending a class with outdated curriculum and instructors that taught from a book, only to have to repeat that exact same class, with the exact same curriculum 2 years later.

safety lMs’s goal is to change the way the industry thinks about their training. with a president that is a member of the national Association of tower erectors (nAte) board of directors and is heavily involved in any standard changes and developments, safety lMs will ensure to bring you the most up to date curriculum in the usA so you can ensure that when you attend a safety lMs training event, regardless of the subject,

you will walk away from the class having learned something new and that your training dollars were well spent.

safety lMs only uses instructors that have many years of real tower experience so when you ask a question, they have an answer based on not only the standards or regulations but what they have experienced on the tower themselves, not what they remember reading in a textbook once before.

Why you should Demand the Bestsafety lMs works extremely hard behind the scenes to ensure the curriculum that we bring to our students is the best in the country. every course module is scrutinized and updated every calendar year to assure this.

we are happy to work with companies of all sizes to find a training and pricing solution that works best for their organization.

before deciding on a training partner for your company consider this, “training takes time and time is money. A properly trained crew is an safe and efficient crew, an efficient crew is a profitable crew, it all comes back to you in the end.”

At the end of the day, are you willing to put a price tag on the safety of your climbers?

contact safety lMs for a custom training solution for your company. you won’t regret it, we promise!

CUSTOMiZEd SAFETY PLAn

safety lMs site Audits and risk Assessments are designed for companies wanting to improve their crew’s safety programs, but don’t have the manpower to get to all of their sites or understand how to evaluate the crew once they are on site.

this program is highly customizable to each company’s needs and is available for small single site jobs to audits covering an entire state.

during an audit, the safety lMs team will ensure your crews have all the current certifications, inspect equipment, and tasks are being performed to the required oshA, Ansi, and tiA standards. safety lMs

can also custom tailor an onsite training program that can ensure the crews get the proper hands-on training with complex tasks such as tower erection, gin pole operations, or tower guy wire plumb and tensioning.

safety lMs also has a custom designed safety Management program that allows the crews to perform all required JsA/JhA, dot, and Ansi/oshA checklists electronically from the field in real time and is uploaded to the company’s system instantly from anywhere.

do you want a safety program specifically designed for your business or one of those canned safety plans that sits on your shelf? too many safety plans do just that. At safety lMs we believe that a strong safety program starts with a specifically designed plan that fits your company and the specific type of work you perform. if a safety plan is to keep your business safe, the safety plan must specifically address your business.

unfortunately, there are many companies that produce safety manuals that are designed to only meet oshA requirements and don’t consider all the necessary elements of a safety program. equally problematic, many contractors simply purchase these safety manuals and never intend to use them.

even more importantly, the safety plan must include a field safety manual to be effective.

if your company is looking to take the next step, or even their first step in their safety policies, safety lMs will be there throughout the entire process.

As your one stop shop for training and safety, we are now able to build individualized eh&s plans for companies. plans vary from company to company and can be customized in scale from a total overhaul to just an audit of current plans.

2 day courseNumber of years certification is valid: 2 yearssetting: classroom and on-site practical instruction

intended for students with less than 90 days of climbing experience. this class includes 1 day of classroom instruction and 1 day of on-site practical instruction. the on-site instruction day will teach students basic climbing, rescue procedures, and equipment use. it is our philosophy that although new climbers cannot write a rescue plan, all climbers should be exposed to rescue procedures. successful completion of this course is dependent upon passing the written exam and satisfactory demonstration of skills on the tower.

Saving you Money on Your Insurance?taking your training through safety lMs can save you money on your company’s insurance. bb&t insurance and safety lMs have partnered up to not only bring companies world class training, but also to save companies tens of thousands of dollars along the way.

bb&t insurance is currently the largest insurance group for tower companies in the us. they specialize in this industry and therefore can spot the differences in safety plans that other companies may miss.

How does it work?insurance companies are largely subjective with the way that they arrive at their premiums. they look at many factors. the state that they client is domiciled in, the success that they have had in that particular state, the claims history of the prospective client and what the client is doing to reduce their individual risk.

Real World example (as written by John Mcgarvey, VP of BB&T Insurance Services)A prime example of this saving occurred in late 2016. bb&t were working with a client, they realized their current agent didn’t know their business and didn’t

understand the measures that they were taking to ensure long term safety and risk reduction.

this particular contractor has a world class safety program, that was highlighted by their partnership with safety lMs. we were able to effectively explain and demonstrate the steps that they were taking to the underwriter and ultimately received an additional 20% credit on their insurance premiums. so not only are they getting reduced rates because of a lack of claims, great hr tactics and first class training. they are getting the additional credit because of the extra steps that safety lMs is there to help them with.

when we present the insurance companies with a tower contractor who has taken the necessary steps to reduce their risk and partner with us. they get reduced rates. we have seen this up to 50% annual savings!
