Duringthepandemic,Catholicshavepursuednewwaystostayengagedwiththeirfaith,butashumanbeings,wes?llneedtoexperiencelifeinpersonandfeelpartofacommunitythatsharescommonbeliefs.
Attheheightofthepandemic,andduringthena?onallockdowns,manya>endedMassthroughlive-streamingandengagedwithSpiritualCommunion.Ourparishesalsoembracedthedigitalworldinavarietyofnewwaysinordertoprovidespiritualsupportandsustenance.
Manypeoplefoundthemselvesunexpectedlywishingfornormalrou?nes,andCatholicsfeltasenseoflongingforthephysicalEucharist-theheartofourfaith-andtobewithothersintheirparish.Somedescribedthisasexperiencingasenseof'homesickness'.However,adernearly21monthsoflivingthroughapandemic,newrou?neshaveevolvedandisnaturaltofeelnervousaboutgoingbacktochurchadersomuchuncertaintyandchange.
