-Assuming that Happiness does work like in gym training for Army special would mean that happiness boosters for a base defense of less than 8,000 will have a drastic improvement on potential Army stat gain. (200%+ increase)This also makes any base defense over this threshold or significantly over it (20,000+ stats) make the gains from such boosters a less than 10% overall gain. i.e. not worth spending money onThis DOES NOT mean you should leave your defense below 8000 before using the Army Special. Rather, it means if you have that amount or less you might want to consider using a booster before spending your points. Likewise if you have drastically over that amount of base defense you might NOT want to use happy boosters when using points since the impact might not be worth the money.------------------------

**Why start at 1,250,000 Defense?

this is a result that seems to occur regularly for players who use 1.2k - 1.3k army points all at once starting from a low defence total <= 25k, which requires about 4 months worth of saved army job points.

Background data / Assumptions*

We'll start off with the following assumptions about the player in question:

● Base Defense of 1,250,000**● Training Stats in a 7-dot defence Gym (eg. Cha Cha's or better) ● Base Happy: 4500 (including the +2% Gym Gains from property i.e Private Island)

Stat Formula Used Stat Gain for 1 Train = ((Gym Dots * 4) * ((0.00019106 * Stat) + (0.00226263 * Happy) + 0.55)) * (1 + Steadfast + Education Bonus) / 150 * Energy Used

(note: a daily 1500e training schedule requires the use of 3 xanax, 4x naturally regenerated bars of 150e and a points energy refill)

How long will it take to get defence up to the 50 mil stat cap?

* Time to get from 1.25 mil to 2.5 mil defence: (2,500,000 - 1,250,000) / (10,537 * 10) = 1,250,000 / 105,370 -> ~12 days (11.86 days)

* Time to get from 2.5 mil to 5 mil defence: (5,000,000 - 2,500,000) / (20,948 * 10) = 2,500,000 / 209,480 -> ~12 days (12.19 days)

* Time to get 5 mil to 10 mil defence: (10,000,000 - 5,000,000) / (40,960 * 10) = 5,000,000 / 409,600 -> ~12 days (12.20 days)

* Time to get 10 mil to 20 mil defence: (20,000,000 - 10,000,000) / (82,111 * 10) = 10,000,000 / 821,110 -> ~12 days (12.17 days)

* Time to get 20 mil to 40 mil defence: (40,000,000 - 20,000,000) / (164,006 * 10) = 20,000,000 / 1,640,060 -> ~12 days (12.19 days)

* Time to get 40 mil to 50 mil defence: (50,000,000 - 40,000,000) / (245,856 * 10) = 10,000,000 / 2,458,560 -> ~4 days (4.06 days)

Thus the minimum amount of energy required to train a stat up from 1.25 mil to the 50 mil stat cap in the gymis roughly 65 days days worth of energy - we'll make a note of this later.

Determining relative stat gains by getting defence to the stat cap using the army special alone

If we extrapolate how many stats the player would have gained if they didn't do gym trains on defence until -after- going past the 50 mil stat cap and then used 65 days worth of energy on a daily 1500e training schedule (ie. 97,500e) then they would have gained about 177,541,000 stats in total, or 128,791,000 more than they would have gained using the same amount of energy in the gym to get defence up from 1.25 mil to 50 mil.

How long would you have to wait?

Actual time it takes to go from 1.25 mil up to the 50 mil stat cap. Max gain per point is 3500.5This would be 13928 Army Points to go from 1.25m to 50m using ONLY Army Special13928 Points = 1,393 Days or roughly 3.8 Years

Note: The above is calculated using the max gain per point,meaning it is very likely that it will take longer than 3.8 years to reach the 50m stat cap using this method.

Where will your stats be after waiting for 3.8 years?

That still doesn't seem like a bad trade off does it? Well not really when you consider the stats could gain in the gym after 3.8 years training a capped stat(s), which we can work out as 1,393 * (273,140 * 10) = 3,804,840,200 (see note).

If we adjust that for a fairly standard Xanax OD rate of about 3% (which effectively means you are on a Xanax OD timer for about 10% of the time) then that total stat gain figure drops to about 3.6 bil or so (can't be bothered working out the exact number at this point).

Now anyone with stats in the billions will tell you that an extra ~120mil stats on speed / str / dex would not make anywhere near as much of a difference if your defence is still stuck on 50 mil after all that time (when it could have been well over 500 mil).

Summary / Conclusions

To recap what we've discovered to date: Esper's point does appear to hold traction at face value, but when you look at how long it takes to save enough points to get to 50 mil defence with army points alone and consider what your stats could be after that amount of time has passed, then you can see that even the seemingly large 122mil difference in stat gains pales into insignificance (it works out to about 3.5% more) when you look ahead to what gains you could have made in the time it takes to save the required number of army job points.

This is not even consdering the fiscal cost of sticking with the army job for so long instead of going to work in a more lucrative company job.

If we take a different starting point (eg. 4 mil - which is another frequently occuring result gained by players who have used 2k - 2.1k army points or about 7 months worth) then the extra stats the player would gain from waiting until after hitting the 50 mil stat cap to train defence in the gym would work out to about 70 mil in total, while they would have to save an extra 1,143 days worth of army points to have enough to get to the 50 mil stat cap using the army special alone.

At that point in time the player could still have gained in excees of 3.1 bil stats with a full 1500e daily training schedule training capped stats, so the extra stats gained by doing trains in the gym and using army points to get defence to the stat cap would be about 2.2% more stats and again this number (+70 mil stats) really pales into insignificance when you consider we're talking about a stat total in excess of 3 bil here.

Thus it is clear that there is at the very least some food for thought when it comes to what goals you are aiming to achieve with the army defence special and where gym trains might becoming a more effective option in a practical sense for players who have different starting defence levels.

p.s. I've couched the terms of reference based upon of xanax users who are on a "full" training schedule as described above - if you're a drug free player then you can double the projected times to train a stat up to 2x your current total and half the the projected stat gains from gym trains on capped stats over the period you would have to save army job points for (in order to hit the 50 mil stat cap on defence using the army defence special alone).

Note that the amount of time you will need to save army job points for will still remain the same to hit the 50 mil stat cap even if you are a drug free player.

With George's gym + 3x xanax + refill +600E (1500E per day), it takes about 10.3 days to double a stat.(From 4 million as shown below)

4m -> 8m, 10.3 days8m -> 16m, 10.3 days16m -> 32m, 10.3 days32m -> 50m, estimate at 9.1 days to bring total days to 40 days (if you don't OD in that time you can probably go from 4m -> 50m in 38-39 days).

40 days of xanax training a cappped stat in George's is about 120m stats. Capping defense in 40 days from 4m start = +46m stats.

So, stat cost of capping defense = 74m stats.
