About Bangkok Bangkok, is called The City of Angels,

It is the Capital of Thailand

Also hub for most of the commercial and economical activities

At the same time, the City is very famous and appreciated by visitors for its versatility and multiple points of interests.

From temples, the Grand Palace, all the way over the some of Asia's largest shopping centers and the largest outdoor

market of Asia , Bangkok definitely has what it takes to entertain visitors from all origins, either first time or return

travelers.

Aside of the sightseeing and shopping, Bangkok has developed into a magnet for food lovers of all origins.

The same range of choice applies to the accommodation options all over town, from high end international chain hotels

to family run guest houses, demands of all travelers are met.

In terms of wellness and relaxation – Bangkok has recently seen a huge development of city Spas and Wellness

centers, in addition to the long established Thai massage centers.

Thai cuisine is singular, justifiably famous, varied, and affordable. Bangkok, represents the quintessential Asian capital.

Saffron-robed monks, flashy neon signs, exotic Thai architecture, spicy dishes, colorful markets, traffic jams, and the

tropical climate come together providing a travel experience which should not be missed

Tourist Attractions

The Grand Palace : is a place where

the former kings used to live. It is a

spiritual centre, a centre of Thai Art. It

is the landmark of the city. The Grand

Palace includes the Royal Chapel, the

Royal Collection of Weapons, the Coin

Pavilion, and a small museum with the

artifacts from the Grand Palace. For

sightseeing in Bangkok, it is the one

place you must visit.

Bangkok temples : There are over

400 temples in Bangkok. The most

splendid temples are the royal temples

which were fully supported and

renovated by the King.

Bangkok Canal : Bangkok is

renowned as the Venice of the East.

Canals in and around Bangkok are an

important method of transport ation

and help to facilitate communication

between different areas of the city.

The branching network of canals from

the main Chao Phraya River still

follows an old living style that leaves

the modern face of Bangkok behind.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market :

The Damnoen Saduak Floating

market is situated around 109 km

south of Bangkok. The Floating

Market is one of the most famous

tourist destination s in Thailand. It is a

market on a small canal where buyers

and sellers interact and exchange

commodities from their paddle boat.

Crocodile Farm : The Crocodile Farm

is home to the thousands of crocodiles

raised here. Here, you will get a

chance to see the talent performed by

the crocodile farmers. This will include

the demonstration of Thai traditional

knowledge to deal with this beast ,

such opening the crocodiles' mouth ,

feeding them, and crocodile wrestling.

Dusit Zoo

The Dusit Zoo is small oasis in central Bangkok, only 48 acres which makes it nice for younger children. With such a compact area, toddlers have an opportunity to get out of the stroller and walk around. Even if you take your time and take in all of the sites, your visit can be done in a single morning or afternoon. Open daily from 8am to 6pm.

Dream World

Dream World is a modern day

amusement park and requires a full

day to experience all of the fun. It

would be hard to get your kids out of

there before the day is over anyway. It

is most suitable for younger kids, ages

3-9, but the young at heart will enjoy it

as well.

Siam Park

Siam Park is a water them park with

swimming pools, waterslides,

whirlpools, fountains and a lake. The

main attraction is a 400 meter spiral

waterslide. It is a great way to beat

the heat of Bangkok It is a very

popular attraction. It is best to go on a

weekday, as weekends and holidays

can be very busy.

THAI TOURIST VISA

A tourist visa will be issued to applicants wishing to enter the Kingdom for tourism purposes. You are not allowed to work or conduct business with a tourist visa.

A tourist visa can be used to stay in Thailand for up to 30 days or up to 60 days and can be extended by 30 days at the nearest Immigration office.

A tourist visa is needed when a person plans to stay in Thailand for tourism purposes longer than is allowed when entering under the visa exemption, or if a person is from a country that has no visa exemption agreements with Thailand.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THAI TOURIST VISA

This type of visa will be issued to applicants who wishing to enter Thailand for tourism purposes

2. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

- Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months- Visa application form completely filled out- One recent( 4 x 6 cm.) photograph of the applicant- Air ticket or eTicket paid in full- Financial means (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family)- Consular officers reserve the rights to request for additional documents as deemed necessary

VISA FEE

USD 30.00 per entry or equivalent (as per 2008-01-17)(Visa fee may be changed without prior notice)

4. VALIDITY OF A VISA

The validity of a visa is three months or six months. That means that you must utilize your visa within 90 or 180 days (dependent on number of entries) .

5. PERIOD OF STAY

Upon arrival, travellers with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 30 days or 60 days.Nationals of countries which are on Thailand’s Tourist Visa Exemption list or have bilateral agreements on visa exemption with Thailand will be permitted to stay for a period of not exceeding 60 days. Nationals from other countries who hold a tourist visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 30 days

6. EXTENSION OF STAY

Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their status of visa must file an application for permission at the immigration office at Government Center Building B, No. 120 Moo 3, Chaeng Wattana Road Soi 7, Thung Song Hong, Laksi, Bangkok 10210.

The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer, the immigration officer may require sight of documentation where are staying (rent agreement/hotel bill/letter from friend etc)
