Pop art simply means

“Popular Art”

Andy Warhol is the most famous pop artist from the

20th century.

He was born on August 6, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.

He was very talented at drawing and painting.

He painted daily objects like Coke bottles and Soup cans.

His mum gave him Campell’s soup every day for lunch.

Tomato soup was his favourite!

He loved cats and made many images of them. He

had more than 25 cats.

He also liked making silkscreen prints of famous people like Marilyn Monroe

and Mick Jagger.

Warhol created the symbol of The Rolling Stones

Boxes were also art for him!
