LEARNING TO LIVE GLUTEN-FREE! Age 15+A restrictive diet is often seen as lacking in variety, taste and flavour, so we will be exploring the many different ways to add all of these back into your diet. Each course will give you lots of recipes and ideas to help in living a suc-cessful (and delicious) gluten-free lifestyle!

CLASS 1: ALL ABOUT GLUTENAn introduction to gluten and the different types of adverse affects it can have on the body and methods of determining whether you have an allergy or sensitivity. You will develop a good understanding of which foods and ingredients contain gluten.

CLASS 2 & 3: GLUTEN-FREE BAKINGThe gluten in wheat flour provides the structure and texture in baked goods. Gluten-free products are often dense and dry. Finding the right balance is key in gluten free baking, and we will explore the many gluten-free types of flours and how they can be blended to get the right consistency.

CLASS 2 will focus on SAVORY baking and will include yeast breads, quick breads, biscuits and more.

CLASS 3 will focus on SWEETS including cookies, cakes and pies.

CLASS 4: MENU PLANNINGAs living a gluten-free lifestyle can have its challenges, especially when feed-ing a family, a menu plan is essential. You will be given recipes and ideas for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner: Cereals, pancakes, soups, salads, entrees, and desserts.
