From the Panel - White (A):• Fussy cut (1) 23” x 43” panel.

From the Starlet - Navy (B), cut:• (3) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2 ½” x 43” strips.• (2) 2 ½” x 27” WOF strips.• (4) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 70 ½” strips.• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 53 ½” strips.• (8) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Mini Floral - Navy (C), cut:• (2) 5 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (10) 5 ⅞” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (20) 5 ⅞” triangles. From the Leaves - White (D), cut:• (1) 6 ¼” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (5) 6 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (20) 6 ¼” triangles.• (2) 5 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (10) 5 ⅞” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (20) 5 ⅞” triangles.

From the Starlet - White (E), cut:• (2) 6 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (7) 6 ¼” squares and (4) 5 ⅞” squares. Cut the 6 ¼” squares across both diagonals to make (28) 6 ¼” triangles. Cut the 5 ⅞” squares across (1) diagonal to make (8) 5 ⅞” triangles.

From the Starlet - Teal (F), cut:• (1) 6 ¼” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (2) 6 ¼” squares and (2) 5 ⅞” squares. Cut the 6 ¼” triangles across both diagonals to make (8) 6 ¼” triangles. Cut the 5 ⅞” squares across (1) diagonal to make (4) 5 ⅞” triangles.

From the Mini Floral - White (G), cut:• (2) 5 ½” x 40 ½” Length of Fabric (LOF) strips.• From the remaining fabric, cut (2) 5 ½” x 20 ½” WOF strips.

From the Birds - White (H), cut:• (1) 8” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 5 ½” x 8” strips.• (1) 5 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 5 ½” x 8” strips.

From the Starlet - Coral (I), cut:• (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 55 ½” strips.• (2) 1 ½” x 37 ½” WOF strips.

From the Starlet - Turquoise (J), cut:• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 57 ½” strips.• (2) 2” x 40 ½” WOF strips.

From the Birds with Flowers - White (K), cut:• (2) 6 ½” x 73 ½” LOF strips.• From the remaining fabric cut (2) 6 ½” x 65 ½” WOF strips, piece as needed.

From the Mini Floral - White (Backing), cut:• (2) 93” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 73” x 93” back.

Block Assembly Note: Pay attention to the unit orientations when assembling the various components.1. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 43” Fabric B strip to each side of the 23” x 43” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 27” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 25 ½” x 45 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

2. Sew together (1) 6 ¼” Fabric E triangle and (1) 6 ¼” Fabric D triangle to make (1) ED triangle. Sew (1) 5 ⅞” Fabric C triangle to the long side of the ED triangle to make (1) Unit 1 square (Fig. 2). The unit should measure 5 ½” square. Repeat to make (8) Unit 1 squares total.

3. Repeat Step 2 and refer to Figures 3-7 for fabric identification and placement to make (2) Unit 2 squares, (4) Unit 3 squares, (4) Unit 4 squares, (2) Unit 5 squares and (8) Unit 6 squares.

4. Sew (1) 5 ⅞” Fabric E triangle and (1) 5 ⅞” Fabric D triangle together along the long sides to make (1) Unit 7 square (Fig. 8). The block should measure 5 ½” square. Repeat to make (8) Unit 7 squares total.

5. Repeat Step 4 and refer to Figure 9 for fabric identification and placement to make (4) 5 ½” Unit 8 squares.

7. Sew together (1) 5 ½” x 8” Fabric H strip (1) Unit 1 square, (1) Unit 4 square, (1) Unit 3 square, (1) Unit 6 square and (1) 5 ½” x 8” Fabric H strip, in that order, to make the Inner Pieced Top Border (Fig. 11). Repeat to make the Inner Pieced Bottom Border.

6. Sew together (1) 5 ½” x 8” Fabric H strip, (1) Unit 1 square, (1) Unit 2 square, (1) Unit 3 square, (1) Unit 4 square, (1) Unit 5 square, (1) Unit 6 square and (1) 5 ½” x 8” Fabric H strip, in that order from top to bottom, to make (1) Inner Pieced Side Border (Fig. 10). Repeat to make a second Inner Pieced Side Border.

8. Sew together (1) Unit 7 square, (1) Unit 6 square, (1) 5 ½” x 40 ½” Fabric G strip, (1) Unit 1 square and (1) Unit 7 square, in that order from top to bottom, to make (1) Outer Pieced Side Border (Fig. 12). Repeat to make a second Outer Pieced Side Border.

9. Sew together (1) Unit 8 square, (1) Unit 7 square, (1) Unit 1 square, (1) 5 ½” x 20 ½” Fabric G strip, (1) Unit 6 square, (1) Unit 7 square and (1) Unit 8 square, in that order, to make the Outer Pieced Top Border (Fig. 13). Repeat to make the Outer Pieced Bottom Border.

Quilt Layout

Quilt Top Assembly (Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)10. Sew (1) Inner Pieced Side Border to each side of the Center Block. Sew the Inner Pieced Top Border and Inner Pieced Bottom Border to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

11. Sew (1)1 ½” x 55 ½” Fabric I strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 37 ½” Fabric I strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

12. Sew (1) 2” x 57 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2” x 40 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

13. Sew (1) Outer Pieced Side Border to each side of the Center Block. Sew the Outer Pieced Top Border and Outer

Pieced Bottom Border to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

14. Sew (1) 2” x 70 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2” x 53 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

15. Sew (1) 6 ½” x 73 ½” Fabric K strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 6 ½” x 65 ½” Fabric K strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

16. Layer and quilt as desired.

17. Sew the (8) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

18. Bind as desired.
