Q4 USPS price increases will be in effect October 18 through December 27, 2020

As e-commerce shopping is projected to scale even further unseen heights this holiday season, businesses and carriers alike have already begun planning and promotions.

To help manage the increased volume, the USPS is imposing temporary price increases on its services. That said, we believe that the USPS is still a top option for e-commerce businesses for a variety of reasons, including cost, convenience, reliability, free services, and more. And, if you incorporate Shippo within your shipping program, you’ll be able to take advantage of even deeper pre-negotiated discounts, on top of the ability to better manage your shipping operations overall.

These temporary price increases will impact commercial packages and as mentioned, will be in effect starting October 18 and continue through December 27, 2020.

Here are the final rates you’ll pay to purchase labels--no hidden fees or surcharges. The temporary increases are already included in the following rate charts.

Cubic pricing is available for packages:

• Weighing less than 20 pounds• With a Cubic feet value up to 0.5• With each side measuring 18 inches or less. Note: if more than one side is closeto 18 inches, the package will likely still be too large to qualify.

To determine a package’s Cubic feet value, use the following equation:

Length (in.) x Width (in.) x Height (in.) / 1,728 = Cubic feet
