O longa do diretor Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes) resgatou a popular série de TV homônima da década de 60, tendo Cavill como o agente da CIA Napoleon Solo e Hammer no pa-pel do russo Illya Kuryakin, que trabalha para a KGB. Ou seja, inimigos mortais no auge da Guer-ra Fria que precisam trabalhar juntos para evitar um desastre inimaginável.

Mais do que mostrar os contratempos dessa complicada relação, no entanto, a produção exal-ta a época em que os espiões se preocupavam com a aparência tanto quanto (ou mais) com as armas que usavam. Os personagens dão uma au-la de sofisticação a cada nova cena. “Os ternos são essenciais para o personagem, mesmo que vo-cê consiga se mexer de poucas maneiras usando uma roupa dessas”, esclareceu o britânico.

Mas, nem de longe isso foi um problema pa-ra Cavill. Com 1,85 metro, olhos azuis e um físico de dar inveja até mesmo em Hollywood, o ator de 32 anos confessa ser fã do estilo, a ponto de dizer que, “se pudesse, usaria terno de três peças até na praia.” Também não é para tanto. “Ok, talvez na praia não, mas usaria todos os dias um terno com colete. escritório”, completou.Apesar do apreço por moda, foi uma vestimen-

ta peculiar de lycra vermelha e azul, com direi-to a capa, a responsável por colocar Cavill entre os grandes da indústria do cinema. Desde que estrelou O Homem de Aço, em 2013, ele sabe que, mesmo vivendo personagens completamente di-ferentes, na TV ou no cinema, a roupa do Super-Homem seguirá com ele por toda a carreira. “Eu quero me envolver com outros trabalhos para mostrar ao público que posso fazer coisas diferen-tes. Não quero minha carreira resumida exclu-sivamente ao Superman, mesmo que ele seja o personagem mais marcante”, disse.

Por enquanto, Cavill vive mais do que nunca sua fase herói, já que retornará como Super-Ho-mem no filme mais aguardado de 2016: Batman Vs Superman – A Origem da Justiça. No longa, pre-visto para estrear no Brasil em março, ele dividi-rá os holofotes com Ben Affleck, que interpretará o homem-morcego. “Ainda não posso dizer muito sobre o longa, mas, acredite, vai ser fantástico”, afirmou. “O filme vai funcionar como uma intro-dução do Batman no universo do Super-Homem, então haverá um lado negro na história. Posso di-zer que o filme vai explorar bem os opostos”. •

More than to show the downside of this messy relationship, however, the produc-tion stresses the time in which the spies were as worried with their appearance as (or more) they were with their weapons. The characters get more sophisticated by the scenew. “The suits are essential for the characters, even if you can’t really move wearing them”, the British actor clarifies.

It was no problem for Cavill. With his 6’1 height, blue eyes and a body that would make half of Hollywood go green with en-vy, the 32 year-old actor confesses he’s a fan of such style, and he goes further say-ing “if I could, I’d wear a three-piece suit at the beach as well.” Let’s not go too far. “Ok, maybe not at the beach, but I’d wear a suit with a vest every day. I like to have the chance to dress well. After all, I’m an actor and don’t go to the office much”, he adds.

Despite the fondness for fashion, it was a very peculiar red and blue outfit with a cape, the one in charge of putting Cavill on the spotlight. Ever since starring in Man of Steel, back in 2013, he knows that, even if he’s giving life to completely different char-acters, whether on TV or movies, the Su-perman outfit will follow him throughout his career. “I want to get involved with oth-er projects to show the world I can do dif-ferent things, be in different roles. I don’t want my career to sum up to Superman, even if he’s still the most remarkable char-acter of all”, he says.

For now, Cavill is living out his hero phase, as he’ll reprise the Superman role in the most anticipated movie of 2016: Bat-man Vs Superman – Dawn of Justice. In the motion picture, expected to open in Brazil in March, he’ll share the screen with Ben Affleck, cast as Batman. “I can’t say much about it, but believe me, it will be amaz-ing”, he states. “The movie will introduce Batman to Superman’s universe, so there will be a dark side to it. I can say the mov-ie will really explore the opposite sides”. •
