President meets with University New South Wales

(UNSW) Vice-President

In March, AABL President Nicholas McDonald met

UNSW Vice President Mr. Peter Noble. Mr. McDonald

and Mr. Noble discussed issues of mutual interests. The

discussion took place at the end of the inaugural

ceremony of UNSW Yunus Social Business Health Hub.

Social Business Roundtable at SIBRC 2015

SIBRC 2015 will organize a Social Business

Roundtable on 18 April. A number of research

papers will be presented during this

roundtable. Professor Pradeep Ray from

University of New South Wales will Chair that

roundtable. Invited speakers will discuss on

various aspects of social business including its

future prospects. Among other

participants, Professor Gillian, Director of Yunus

Social Business Centre, La Torbe University is

expected to take part in the discussion.

a Fellow Member or an Associate

Eligibility:

Fellow Member: To join as a Fellow Member, you should have a minimum

Australian equivalent research Masters or PhD

degree qualification, and be active in doing research and publications.

Associate Member: To join as an Associate Fellow Member, you should have a

minimum Australian equivalent Bachelors

degree/graduate diploma qualification, and have an active interest in research.

Membership Fee (annual):

Fellow Member: A$40

Associate Member: A$20

Participants of AABL conference(s), who meet the above criteria, will be exempted

from paying the 1st year membership fee.

The benefits of AABL membership:

1. All members will enjoy a 10% discount to join any AABL Event

(Conference/Training Session) or any service provided by AABL.

2. All members will enjoy a range of rewards by referring others to AABL

Events (Conference and/or Training Session). Fellow Members will enjoy $50

referral reward(s) and Associate Members will enjoy $25 referral reward(s), if

another person joins an AABL Event (Conference and/or Training Session)

with his/her referral.

How to Join?

1. Please complete the online application form.

2. Pay the applicable fees. A person who will register for at least one AABL

Event (Conference and /or Training Session) will get waiver of membership

fee for one year.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Year will be the English calendar year (January – December).

2. The reward program will commence from 1 April 2015. The fractional year

will be considered as a full year.

3. A member willing to join in the middle of the year will pay full fees. Payment

for fractional year will not be accepted.

4. The referral reward will NOT be given in cash but can be used to pay partial

or full payment (based on reward balance) of an AABL Event (Conference

and/or Training Session). This reward can also be used to pay future

membership fees. Depending on a member’s joining and earning this reward,

this referral reward can be accumulated and will remain valid for up to 2

years only; after a 2-year period, this reward will expire and cannot be

carried forward for use in subsequent years. This referral reward is non-

transferable.

5. All amounts quoted are in Australian dollars (A$).

6. AABL reserves the right to change the membership fees and reward amounts

from time to time, should the need arise.
