Outdoors – nature trails

• There are several nature trails in Kuopio with guide signage. • In Katiskaniemi, Halmejoki, Puijo and the Kolmisoppi-Neulamäki area are

traditional nature trails. • On Karhonsaari various trees and shrubs are presented in an arboretum• Haminalahti Cultural Trail gives visitors the chance to familiarise

themselves with the subject landscape of the von Wright brothers’ paintings.

• All trails have waymarks painted on the ground as well as guide signage. There are information boards along the trails depicting the nature features of each area.

ANTI - Contemporary Art Festival25.-30.9.2018

• The 17th edition of ANTI - Contemporary Art Festival will take place between 25th and 30th September 2018. Internationally celebrated, award-winning artists from around the world will present projects engaged with ideas of play, playfulness, games and gaming.

• A playful engagement with the spaces of Kuopio, ANTI Festival’s host city, has been at the heart of our approach to bringing vital, exciting and surprising contemporary art to this inquisitive community. For 2018 we’re focusing our attentions properly on play and gaming.
