500,000+ lbs. of expired specifications samples diverted from the waste stream since 9/1/2006
Historically, expired specification samples have ended up in the waste stream at the end of their useful life. ZeroLandfillTM collaborates with members of the interior design and architectural community to collect these materials and identifies local audiences who find value in these materials.

•Founded in 2006 as a recycling effort in Akron/Cleveland City Center of the Ohio/Kentucky Chapter.
•Now in planning or operating as an upcycling program in 17 IIDA City Centers in 9 states.
•Proven process based on biomimicry is managed by volunteers from the interiors industry.

Step One: build excitement across your Chapter with an IDCEC approved CEU followed by a ZeroLandfillTM pilot project design workshop for the core team, 8 to 10 weeks prior to launch
Step Two: the core project team executes the pilot project pre-planning steps, 4 to 6 week prior to launch
Step Three: operate the pilot project that has been tailored to each City Center in the design workshop, celebrate the results, and build consensus for future ZeroLandfillTM projects in each market
