糜鹿别 名 四不象学 名 Elaphurus davidianus英文名 David’s deer鹿 科 Cervidae分 布 原产于辽宁、华北、黄河和长江中下游国家一级保护动物 体长约 200 厘米，体重 100 （雌）～ 200 （雄）千克，因其头似马、角似鹿、尾似驴、蹄似牛而俗称四不象。仅雄鹿有角，颈和背比较粗壮，四肢粗大。主蹄宽大能分开，趾间有皮腱膜，侧蹄发达，适宜在沼泽地行走。夏毛红棕色，冬毛灰棕色；初生幼仔毛色橘红，并有白斑。由化石资料推测，糜鹿原产于我国东部湿润的平原、盆地，北起辽宁，南到海南，西自山西、湖南，东抵东海都有分布。为草食动物，取食多种干草、苔草及鲜嫩树叶。喜群居，发情期一雄多雌；通常 7 月份开始交配，怀孕期 315—350 天，每胎产 1 仔。 18 世纪我国野生麋鹿种群已经灭绝，仅在北京南苑养着专供皇家狩猎的鹿群，后被八国联军洗劫一空，盗运国外， 1985 年以来，我国分批从国外引回 80 多只，饲养于北京南苑和江苏大丰县。在散放的江苏省大丰县已建立麋鹿自然保护区，为麋鹿在自然界恢复野生种群而开展保护管理和科学研究工作。
