The 1960's were rough-and-tumble times for offshore racing. V-bottom design and fiberglass boat building technology were still emerging, and grueling ocean courses that spanned hundreds of miles through perilous seas often bested drivers and boats. Champion racers were larger-than­life heroes, and during those times, the most prominent names in racing seemed to share one address: NE 188th Street in North Miami, FL. "Thunderboat Row" was what they called it, and World Champion racer Don Aronow presided over it all.

During his illustrious career, Aronow ....... created Formula, Cigarette, Magnum, and

a handful of others, but in 1963 he was ...... hard at work bringing Donzi to life. The first

In 1993, American Marine Holdings stepped in. Chairman & CEO Lee Kimmell established a clear plan to return Donzi to "' its former prominence. Creating a new team to oversee new product develop­ment, Donzi found itself in the midst of its most substantial overhaul in its history.

Today, Donzi produces a more diverse range of models than ever before, all designed and built with the company's original mandate of outstanding perform­ance, quality construction, and enduring style. If the public has been quick to take notice of Donzi's resurrection, the media hasn't been far behind, bestowing awards and accolades on new Donzi models almost as fast as the company can devel­op them.

Over 40 years later, Donzi continues to expand its horizons and build on its hard­earned reputation as an innovator. Premium gelcoat. Donzi uses low viscosity, UV-protect­ed HK Hydra-Lite gelcoat for a bril­liant, long-lasting finish that is resist­ant to chalking, fading, and crazing.

Vinylester resin. Hulls and decks are laminated with a vinylester resin that has been special­ly formulated to Donzi's exacting standards. This state-of-the-art mate­rial is stronger and more resilient than the less-expensive polyester resins used by competitors.

High-strength fiberglass and compos­ite structural materials. Donzi's hulls and decks are hand-laid with layers of stitched multi-axial fiberglass cloth. Certain models may also incorporate Kevlar, E-glass, S­glass, carbon fiber, and a variety of other exotic materials. Stringers and transoms are composite, and glass­encapsulated to assure optimum structural integrity.

Superior hull-to-deck bonding. Donzi's hulls and decks are joined using a special chemical-fusion adhe­sive and multiple bonding surfaces, creating strategic contact points between hull, deck, stringers and transom. This evenly distributes stress for a solid, quiet, flex-free ride.

Precision wiring. Donzi custom-builds wiring harness­es for each specific application, using quality tinned-copper wire and solder­less connectors insulated with neo­prene heat-shrink material. Waterproof Packard plugs are used to seal out the elements and ensure tight connections.

Premium upholstery. Donzi upholstery is hand-made from marine-grade 32-ounce UV-protected vinyl that is triple-stitched, combined with custom-contoured foam padding and wrapped over weatherproof, wood-free backing materials. Sculpted designs add to the beauty of a Donzi's cockpit, and durable con-
