THE COMMEMORATION OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED

On Thursday, November 2nd, we celebrate The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls Day). The Eucharist will be celebrated at 8:30 AM & 7:00 PM. At the evening Mass, we remember especially among all of the faithful who have died from November 1, 2016 until today those from our parish who

celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial, Memorial Masses, Graveside Services and Internment at our Parish Columbaria.

THE BOOK OF THE NAMES OF THE DEAD

During the month of November, the Church especially remembers all those who have died. We pray that in

commending their souls to God, witness is given to our faith in the future resurrection of the baptized with

Christ. On the long table in the Commons area is placed “The Book of the Names of the Dead” which will

remain for the full month. We invite anyone to write the name of any family member, relative or friend

who has died on the pages of the book. There is separate line for each name you wish to add. During the

General Intercessions (the Prayer of the Faithful) we will pray each weekend for all those whose names are

listed in the book. We hope that everyone will add to their own personal prayer the faithful departed and

the promise of eternal life with God in heaven given to each of us at our baptism.
