11 Feb: P&C Meeting 7.30pm 13 Feb: 3-Way Primary Swimming Carnival @ Yeoval 19-21 Feb: Access Camp Yr 11 20-21 Feb: Yr 7 Camp LOCAL AREA ACTIVITIES: All students will be involved in local area activities. If your child/ren has any special needs or if you do not give permission for your child to attend local area activities please notify the school on 6846 4004 by Friday 7 February 2014. STUDENTS WITH ASTHMA Due to the hot and dry weather conditions we are experiencing asthma sufferers need to be more aware of their condition. Any student with asthma needs to carry their prescribed puffer with them at all times. Parents should ensure that their child knows how to deal with their asthma and encourage students to come straight to the school office or nearest teacher if they are feeling unwell. SCHOOL APP YCS school app is a useful way to keep up with school events, read newsletters, check the school calendar for upcoming events and receive messages directly from the school office. You can also send in pho-tos and absent letters through the app. If you have a smartphone just search the school in the app store and download our app to keep up to date with all that is go-ing on in our school. SRC ICE BLOCKS The SRC will be selling ice blocks again, due to the hot weather. It is yet to be de-cided where the money raised will be do-nated. Ice blocks will cost 50 cent each and will be sold at lunch times. Students are encouraged to bring money to help keep cool.

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT: Welcome to our Kindergarten students! Adele, Lacey, Demi, Brodhie and Joseph began on Friday! It is wonderful to see these new bright faces. Year 1 have been great role models in their class-room. It is great to see all students wearing their new uniform. The uniform shop is waiting for sizes 12, 14, 16 to come in. Please ensure that your child leaves home with their school hat as this is the new uniform. We do expect that all stu-dents in Terms 1 and 4 wear hats at all times when in the sun: NO HAT NO PLAY. Our annual swimming carnival is on this Friday! Please ensure your child has plenty of water and sunscreen, and ade-quate clothing to protect them from the sun. Students should wear their house colours on the day. Good luck to all students who nominate to be on the Student Representative Council by Wednesday. Voting occurs on Thursday. We will induct all of our student leaders at a special assembly to be held at the end of Week 5 Friday 28 February at 12.30pm. Nicole Bliss Principal ASSEMBLY: There will be no assembly this week due to the Swimming Carnival. Assembly next week will be as normal.
