“I had the privilege of working with Alyssa in my role as Advisor to the Career Ambassador
Program, a student organization and volunteer outreach arm of the University of Delaware's
Career Services Center. Alyssa was a shining star from the moment she stepped on the scene.
We had recently had a vacancy in the organization's executive board, and none of the current
members were able to fill the role of Events Coordinator. Alyssa immediately stepped up,
even though she was our newest member. She enthusiastically took the reigns of a series of
smaller events and one huge networking event that our group had been planning. With her
leadership, our largest event, the Employer Networking Golf Outing grew in scope and size

PRSA TRAVEL AND TOURISM CONFERENCE | 2015This event provides travel and hospitality communicators with the tools and techniques to succeed in today’s fast-paced marketplace. It brings together leading travel communicators from CVBs to agencies, travel journalists, and more to share best practices. I managed logistics onsite as well as helped launch the first ever "The Pitch" session which allows PR professionals to pitch in front of leading journalists in the style of the TV show "The Voice".

OR MANAGER CONFERENCE | 2013 For 27 years, the OR Manager Conference has been the #1 executive-level conference for perioperative leaders, providing unparalleled education and content along with the opportunity for attendees to connect with other OR managers and directors, clinical directors, business managers and others tasked with managing the surgical suite. I managed event operations, sessions, 25 volunteers, and our VIP Staff dinner with the Access Intelligence Executive Team.

Winegard Welcome Reception | 2013 An exclusive event sponsored by Winegard during OilComm 2013 in Houston.
As event lead, I handled all logistics including designing sponsored event
items, tent rental, permits, overall budget, catering, and more. The event was
a great success and Winegard has already signed next year’s contract for the
same event.

An study break event during finals week for UD students in the local campus
center. This event positioned Barnes & Noble as an academic ally. Ladies were
treated to desserts, the eff.Y.bee jewelry line, a meet and greet with
eff.Y.bee’s creator, musical performance by Kiddo, and free massages and
makeovers.

UD Target Back-To-College After-Hours Shopping Event | 2011 Target partnered with the University of Delaware and Periscope for the launch of the
UD Target Back-To-College After-Hours Event and to become the go to stop for UD
student’s back to school shopping needs. I helped coordinate the event logistics,
recruit and manage the brand ambassador team, promote the event around campus,
and manage the social media campaign.

The goal of the NASCAR U CREW campaign was to help build a younger generation of
NASCAR fans through 10 events in 10 weeks, as well as social networking. 12 schools
participated with Brand Ambassador teams of 2. We held events ranging from viewing
parties, man vs. food competitions, and campus block parties.
