FESTIVAL OF LESSONS & CAROLSA grand and joyful preparation for ChristmasSunday Dec. 18th 2:30, Historic Church

From the loneliness of his prison cell, John the Baptist

asks of Jesus: “Are you the one who is to come?”

Others are also looking for Jesus. The poor, the

hospitalized, the shut-ins, the wayward, those without

hope. Can we reach out to them as a sign of Christ’s

presence in their midst?

Abide in God’s love. When we allow Christ into our lives and allow ourselves

to be with God, we will produce good fruit, even after difficult times of

The Third Sunday of Advent is a day of joy in the midst of penitential mood. “Rejoice in the Lord

always; again I say rejoice! The Lord is near!” There is a joyful awareness that the fulfillment of God’s great plan for us is near. So, like little children who can’t wait for Christmas morning, let us rejoice at the coming of the Lord into our

hearts and homes at Christmas and always!

A Note from Fr.Vince

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT

determined people would notice and hear God’s

message. How do you stand out for God

ALL WEDNESDAYS OF ADVENT

Rejoice always. Paul tells us in Philippians 4:4 to always find joy in the Lord. Paul wrote this while he was in

jail. He demonstrated finding joy at all times, not just when things were going

well. Rejoice in the Lord always.

Ask God for joy. During times of mourning and grieving, or times when joy is only a memory we must ask God to give us the kind of joy only God can

give. The joy of the Lord gives us strength, comfort, healing and hope.
