• Ask your membership who can introduce you to news directors THEN call them and take them to lunch

• Provide Press Releases via email & twitter• Comment and converse with local news media on

facebook and twitter• Have members who have strong relationship with

media submit your news releases

Follow up, Follow up, Follow up

• Send your release to news media• Call the person to make sure they received it• Ask them if they can run your story/release• Follow up with a thank you for running
