Fellowship Team by Diana Ammon All Church Birthday We would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s All Church Birthday Party and Potluck! This is one of our favorite events. We had over 17 tables decorated this year and they were absolutely AWESOME! Thanks to all that helped decorate tables in the Fellowship Hall! And thanks to everyone who stayed for dinner and brought food for the potluck!

So until our next event, may God Bless you!

Pioneer Clubs News by Stacy Lee

Pioneer Clubs Events With spring upon us club will be quickly winding down for the year, so please keep posted on the monthly flyers and information that comes home with your students. We have a lot of exciting things planned that we don’t want you to miss! Here are some important dates for you to keep in mind. If you have any questions, please talk to your students’ club teachers or club coordinator, Stacy Lee.

Club “Treasure Night” When we come back from our break, on Wednesday, April 15th we will have “Treasure Night.” The students will meet with their teachers in their classrooms at 6:30 p.m. for some special activities and then throughout the night each class will have a turn to spend the points they’ve earned all year in our club treasure store. Should be fun!

Pioneer Clubs Sunday On Sunday, April 19th during our normal morning worship service, we will be celebrating Pioneer Clubs Sunday. This is a chance to recognize all that participate and help with Pioneer Clubs throughout the year. Also, some of the students will have the opportunity to serve on that Sunday; by being ushers for the offering, handing out bulletins/the weekly, sharing about what they have learned in Pioneer Clubs, etc. We will be presenting the 1st and 5th graders Bibles on this Sunday as well. Please mark this date on your calendars and plan on being a part of this special day.

Racers….Start….Building…. Your….Cars! It’s that time of year again – Pioneer Clubs Pine Car Derby Race at Hillcrest Baptist Church. For those that would like to participate, pine car kits with official race rules will be available for sale beginning April 1st. The kits cost $5.00 and are necessary to legally qualify in the actual timed race. And YES you must use the wheels and axels that are provided in the kits. If you would like to purchase your own kit or change the wheels or axels, you may still enter your car, but it will not be counted as part of the timed race and not eligible to win a trophy or medal. It may however be entered for other awards such as best paint job, most colorful, most creative, best design and people’s choice. The race will take place on Wednesday, May 13th in the fellowship hall. Racer registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. so people can check in, weigh in and make any final modifications so we can begin the race at 6:00 p.m. New this year, we will be hosting 2 garage nights as to give racers more time to prepare their cars for the event. This is a really fun family time that you won’t want to miss. Even if you don’t enter a car into the race, come on out and cheer on the racers. There will also be lots of food available for sale. Any questions, please contact Stacy Lee.

Kids for Kids Hike Fundraiser Wednesday, April 29th will be our annual Hike to raise money for our local and national club ministries. We will meet at the outdoor shelter house at Westgate Park (Wicklow Road side of the park) at 6:00 p.m. and begin hiking as close to 6:10 as possible. The hike consists of 1 lap around the park, which equals 1 mile. Everyone will hike together. There will be no bikes, scooters, skateboards permitted as it makes it too difficult for everyone to hike while keeping an eye on students and for other “normal” park walkers. However, if you have a little one that needs assistance, we do encourage the use of strollers and/or wagons. Hike information and sponsor forms will be handed out to students on April 15th. Checks can be made payable to Hillcrest Baptist Church with “PC Hike” written in the memo. All money collected should be turned into Stacy Lee on or before the night of the hike. This is a family event; therefore parents are responsible for transporting and chaperoning their own children for the hike. Anyone who would like to join us for the hike is absolutely welcomed….this is a great way to add some “spring in your step” for the last day of April!

Thank you to the students for their dedication in attending club each week and learning Bible verses and working through their activities. Also, thank you parents/grandparents/etc. for bringing your students to club each week and encouraging them through your constant support.
