Siemens and Danvest Siemens and Danvest are working together to supply Wind-‐Diesel systems into the Australian mining industry based on the Danvest Power Box concept
Our target market is off-‐grid mines typically requiring 5 to 10 MW of power supply in areas of good wind resource (we can build larger)
We are in commercial discussions for an installation at a major mine site in South Australia with a planned installation during 2013 and proposals have been submitted for mine sites in Western Australia

Remote Power Supply Danvest specialise in standard renewable energy applications for remote isolated power stations
Power supply to mining projects by installing mini grid system with wind capacity up to 120-‐150% of the average power consumption
Turbine yield capacity is targeted at 35-‐45% to provide high integration (circa 50-‐70%) of wind capacity and similar fuel savings per year with potential to add PV
An integrated technology and financing package (including bank finance and export credit guarantees) will be offered by Danvest for sites around Australia

Who Will Benefit? No access to mains grid power or limited access
 Off grid Fringe-‐of-‐grid
Renewable energy availability Assess the viability of wind power as an energy source
Mine life commitment Operational cost savings pay back capital cost within 4-‐5 years
Market projection Over the next five years we see a market for up to 32 sites in
regional and remote Australia, reducing fossil fuel usage in mining sites

Wind Resource Availability Mesoscale modelling used to assess potential wind turbine siting locations within the mining area
Mean wind speeds of 7.5 m/s and above are ideal
Wind mast installed to confirm site-‐specific wind speeds
Wind monitoring data has been collected at our initial site
