ENTRANCE AND DISMISSAL

• It is important to remember that supervision begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:45 p.m.. Therefore, prior to this time the school yard is not supervised by school staff.

• All students are to line up in the school yard to enter the building with their class and teacher at 8:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

• At dismissal time, please wait for your child/children outside the school in the school yard. Please DO NOT stand too close to the exit doors. Students need to exit the building safely.

• Parents/guardians picking up children during the school day are asked to notify the office ahead of time. We will ensure that your child will be ready at the front office when you arrive.

• If anyone other than the parent/guardian or the established caregiver is to pick up any student, especially JK/SK children, please notify the office in writing.

• All visitors, including parents/guardians, must sign in and out at the office. Please use the front entrance to enter and leave the school at all times.

FOR TRANSITION TO SECONDARY SCHOOL

This session is directed to grade 7 & 8 students with a learning disability, and their parents and teachers to help facilitate a smooth transition to grade 9. The presentation is going to describe the secondary school system, as well as the skills for success in high school. Strategies, study and organizational skills, advocacy skills (for parent and student), and the home-school partner-ship will be highlighted.

Grade 7 and 8 parents and students are welcome to attend scheduled open houses to learn more about the various programs, services and activities that each school offers as you prepare for Catholic secondary school education . Open houses usually begin at 7:00p.m.

Hello Parents/Caregivers,

First and foremost, “thank you” for your fundraising pledges and continuous cooperation! Once again, the funds raised will be used for the benefit our children at St. Mary of the Angels. These funds will increase literacy programs, to purchase sport jerseys / equipment, upcoming presentations and to support the beginning stages of our greening project.

For your information, our next CSAC meeting is taking place on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 7:00pm , in the library. At this meeting the following subject matters will be “opened for discussion”:
