    Summer Break Camps are offered weekly from June 13 through August 19, 2016.

    Space is limited, so register today!

    How to Register

    Easy online registration is available for all camps at www.smgov.net/reserve. Priority online

    registration for Santa Monica Residents runs March 2 (6 am) through March 8, 2016.

    Non-resident registration opens March 9. To download a registration form, visit

    www.smgov.net/classes. Registration forms are accepted via email, fax, mail, or drop off.

    Refunds & Transfers

    A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refund/transfer requests must be

    made in writing to the program supervisor in person or by fax, mail, or email. Class refunds and

    transfers will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Camp refunds

    will only be issued with medical documentation or if requested within 5 calendar days prior to the

    first meeting. Refunds will be prorated.

    Cancellations

    A full refund will be granted if we cancel the program. All dates, times, locations, and instructors are

    subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to combine classes as needed or cancel

    programs due to insufficient enrollment. Due to the organizational needs of group classes, we are

    not able to offer makeups for days missed by the student.

    Material Fees are payable to the instructor in cash on the first day of class. Material fees are not

    discountable or refundable.

    Worst Case Scenario survival challenges, face forces of nature, and construct transportation equipment to

    into a realm that is truly out of this world. Travel back in time to build NASAs Gemini Capsule. Trust your

    astronauts building skills to pilot a spacecraft that will bring you back to Earth safely. Well build motorized

    models that represent spacecraft from your favorite popular space movie. Come experience this stellar journey

    own Star Wars movie using the art of stop-motion-animation. The ideas will be yours, the sets will be built by

    Jedi Engineering with LEGO (5-7 yrs and 8-11 yrs)

    Young Jedi will explore worlds far, far away and engineering principles right in front of them. Defeat the

    Empire by designing and refining Lego X-Wings, R2-units, and settlements on far-flung edges of the galaxy.

    Imagination and engineering combine to create motorized and architectural projects such as energy catapults,

    shield generators, and defense turrets. Please bring a snack and a drink.

    NEW! Academic Chess (5-13 yrs) Instructor: Academic Chess Memorial Park Laurel Room Checkmate! Come and join us in this fun and educational camp, designed for all ages and levels of chess expertise. Every child will receive a different lesson each day according to his/her skill level, as well as the opportunity to practice their game with other campers. On the last day of camp, a mini-tournament will take place, where trophies, medals, and other prizes will be awarded. Embark on a new journey each day to decipher cryptic clues and biological codes, and help us identify the thief through chemical and mechanical analysis.     Creative Campers is run by our experienced early childhood class instructors. The program offers an excellent way for younger children to experience a day camp in a safe environment. Activities includes art, science, mu-sic, cooking, indoor and outdoor play, and more based on a weekly theme that is designed for creativity, fun, and friendship!
