For children ages 5 to 17, each holiday camp includes supervised ski instruction from 10am to 2pm along with lunch and breaks. Advanced reservations are required as participation is limited.

Youth Ski Programs are for ages 5-17, Youth Snowboard Open Lessons and programs are for ages 8+, Private Snowboard Lessons available for ages 5-7. Make up lessons are not held for classes missed, without doctors note.

Lesson Programs include the first 3 lessons at the Monroe County Parks and the 4th Lesson at Swain during the County Parks @ Swain weekend assigned to the class number registered for. Lesson Programs also include a FREE Lift ticket at Swain and a parent voucher with $150 worth of savings. Make up lessons for the Swain Lesson can only be rescheduled for a lesson time during that same weekend. No exceptions, without serious injury or illness along with a doctors note

Ski equipment is available for rent. Renters should arrive at the park 45 minutes before the start of the first lesson for sizing.

Classes and camps are held rain or shine. Refunds are not issued for any program unattended. Make up lessons are not held for classes missed at the park. If severe weather prevents classes from being held, an announcement will be made on the Northampton Facebook Page along with rescheduling information.

In case of a serious medical injury or illness, or any other reason deemed appropriate by management, a credit voucher for like services representing the unused portion may be issued for the current season at Powder Mills Park or Swain. Written requests must be directed to Swain Management within ten days of the incident along with a doctor’s statement. A processing fee of $35 will be deducted. Cash refunds are not issued.

Your Responsibility CodeSkiing can be enjoyed in many ways. At ski areas you may see people using alpine, snowboard, telemark, cross country, and other specialized ski equipment, such as that used by disabled or other skiers. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience.

Always stay in control and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.

People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.

You must not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.

Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.

Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.

Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.

Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride,and unload safely.
