Carla

Therapy Room- Big grey/black hoodie, black jeans, trainers, chipped black nail varnish- I want Kitty to wear and oversized hoodie, covering most of her face, in order to show how insecure she is and her isolation from the world. The chipped black nail varnish suggests she doesn’t look after herself- or doesn’t have the time or will to.

Dream- Black And white stripy top, black jeans, trainers-I want Kitty in a black and white stripy top to show the light stretching through the dark. In the real world, (therapy room) Kitty wears very dark colours, and so as her dream is her happy place, I want white stripes stretching through the black to show how her dream gives her hope, however reality will always be there.

Counsellor

Costume-

Toby will wear a black suit without a tie- this is to show his status and make him look older and more sophisticated compared to Kitty. Taking away the tie will however limit the formality, showing it is still a relaxed environment where Kitty can express her feelings.

Props-

Toby will have a notepad and pen as his props so that he can ‘write down’ what Kitty is saying.

Young Carla

Costume-

Pyjamas- as Cecilia is playing young Carla, I think pyjamas are appropriate as this is her first dream experience, and so she needs to look vulnerable and unprepared.

Props-

Teddy- By holding a teddy, it will portray her young age and make her look more helpless.
