The Canadian Simmental Association introduced the Award of Excellence program this year to promote and highlight the over one thousand head that enter the show ring registered at Simmental cattle across Canada each year.The Awards of Excellence (AOE) program encourages breeders to travel between shows in different locations and provinces to show cattle as each provincial association is required to select two or three shows that will qualify for the Award of Excellence points program. Points were given based on the size of Simmental cattle entered in each show and following the final show- Canadian Western Agribition, the CSA had tabulated an Award of Excellence Show Female and Bull of the year.
