Benefits of our Projects The fruit, non-timber forest produce and fodder from

our projects are used by rural communities in the

area, a vast majority of whom live below the poverty

line, and really helps them augment their income

and conserve their disposable income. In our project

in the Panchmahal district of Gujarat, 40% of the

communities’ disposable income is spent procuring

cooking fuel which can be substituted with fallen

twigs and branches.

Several of our projects are in tiger reserves and

wildlife sanctuaries, which restore degraded areas in

the periphery of the sanctuaries and help prevent

man-animal conflict.

The trees planted are all indigenous and include

species like Custard Apple, Amla, Khair, Neem and

Black Siris to maintain the biodiversity of the area.
