HALLEY ES PTO BOARD MEMBERS

NOMINATION 2018-2019 School Year

The Halley PTO is a 501c3 non-profit organization, which raises funds to provide for the educational needs of our students and organizes fun activities that connect families with their school community. We host family nights, sponsor transportation for field trips, organize after-school enrichment programs,

contribute to the purchase of technology devices or books for the school, and much more.

As our school year winds down, it's time to start planning for next year. The PTO is now accepting nominations for open PTO Board positions for 2018-2019.

Current available positions are President, 1st Vice President and Secretary, as described below:•

PTO 1st Vice PresidentResponsible to serve as an aide to the President and assume and perform duties of President in the absence of the President. Requirement: a moderate level of involvement throughout the year. Specific duties and time commitment are dependent on division of responsibility between President and 2nd Vice President.

• PTO SecretaryProduces minutes for all PTO meetings, records all documents and communications issued by the PTO, keeps anofficial copy of the PTO by-laws, maintains copies all PTO materials, and maintains and updates PTO website.Requirement: a moderate level of involvement throughout the school year.

Not sure if a Board position is right for you? Consider joining a PTO Committee. The PTO is always in need of Committee Leads and Volunteers. Many hands make light work. Committee Leads will be appointed once the PTO Board Members are in place.

Please return the completed form to the front office by 5 p.m Friday, April 6. Voting will take place at the Spring Bingo Night on Friday, April 20, 6:30 PM. Please consider getting involved. The PTO is a very rewarding organization and has a huge impact on your student, the staff and the school.
