Why are Intramurals important?
Intramurals are important since they help students
to be well-rounded. Meaning, we are not just
concerned with enriching cognitive functioning but
we also target different aspects of our personality. It
is a good avenue of developing the students’
psychomotor skills by channeling their time and
energy through sports. Furthermore, it promotes ca-
maraderie and rapport among students, educators,
and school staff.
Engaging students in sports will help them stay away
from vices and inculcate discipline and teamwork.
The ability to work well with other people is a
necessary ingredient in having harmonious
relationships. Thus, this is one upside that this event
brings about.
Intramurals is essential to the well-being of students.
As well as to their development as well-rounded
individuals. Sports instills sportsmanship—how to
accept and embrace defeat, honesty/fair play and it
molds students in having desirable traits that are vital
in achieving happiness and fulfillment in the future.
