ADJECTIVE AGREEMENT
Adjectives must agree with the nouns they describe!
Use -o with masculine and -a with femine nouns. • Pablo es alto. Michelle es menos alta.
Most adjectives ending in a consonant or an –e don’t change.• Pablo es fuerte, leal y joven. Michelle es fuerte, leal y joven.
Adjectives that end in –dor or refers to someone’s nationality add -a
for feminine nouns.• Pablo es espñol y trabajador. Michelle es española y
trabajadora.
To describe more than one person or thing, add –s or –es to make
the adjective plural.• Pablo y Michelle son jóvenes y muy simpáticos.
